A Fun Sh’mup with Serious Synthwave Aesthetic

I played this on Switch a while ago and just stumbled across it again on Steam. Neat synthwave aesthetic and a really fun soundtrack. If this doesn't quite fit here, I get it. A little different than other posts so far. I just really enjoyed the vibe and attitude.

A community dedicated to the visual language of synthwave: art, illustration, graphic design, typography, motion, and more from imagined futures born from the 1980s. Think grids, glowing horizons, chrome-clad objects and typography, VHS textures, bold color, and retro-futurist worlds that never quite existed.

This is a design-first space. We’re here to share finished work, works in progress, references, experiments, and visual inspiration rooted in synthwave aesthetics. So think less so the music style, more so the pixel style.

Whether you’re an artist, designer, or simply obsessed with the look of neon-lit futures, this is a place to explore, study, and build the visual culture of synthwave art together.

Community Guidelines

Be respectful. If offering critique, focus on ideas and execution, not people. No harassment, gatekeeping, or dismissive behavior. Be cool, y’all.
Keep it visual-first. Posts should focus on synthwave-inspired visual art, not just music. Let’s make a steady stream of beautiful things.
Credited sources where possible. Feel free to share your own creations or works in progress, but if you’re sharing others’ art, do your best to credit the original artist or source.
AI assistance is okay, with transparency. AI-assisted work should be labeled. I’d strongly encourage you to use it as a tool in your belt, while putting your own spin on it.
