You can bet on almost anything these days, and now an increasing number of states are legalizing it for sports through apps like DraftKings and FanDuel. The Las Vegas sportsbooks are probably having a monster week, thanks to two main factors: the Super Bowl debuting in Las Vegas and Taylor Swift.

But each year, there are some novelty prop bets that have nothing to do with the actual football game that's taking place. Those involve the length of the National Anthem, the color of Gatorade dumped on the winning head coach and the coin toss. But there are even more wacky and silly things to bet on this year, thanks to Usher, Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

National Anthem

There is always a prop bet on the length of the National Anthem, but rarely are there this many additional side bets attached to the performance. Reba's hat, the CBS broadcast — really, anything can be turned into a bet!

This one is real simple, and maybe the most glaring example of the rise in unfettered gambling addiction that's taken over our country and every sports league. Heads or tails, which will it be?

Usher's Halftime Show Performance

We would advise not betting on the song "Yeah!" being performed, because the odds are so out of whack that you'd have to bet $100,000 just to win a little bit extra. Not worth it. Just enjoy the show without putting money down on which singer will show up.

Gatorade bath color

This is the classic prop bet, dating decades back into the NFL's past. This long tradition of dumping Gatorade onto the winning head coach gave rise to betting on which flavor would be in those iconic orange tubs. Last year the Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid had purple dumped on him, and he'd gotten an orange bath back in 2020. Will they switch it up again if he wins?

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

When Japan has to chime in on Taylor Swift, you know this is a big deal.

Taylor's relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has created all sorts of new prop bets that are idiosyncratic just to her. And unless the Chiefs keep showing up to Super Bowls going forward, and she continues to date him for that long, this might be the only year all of you Swifties get to have fun betting on the game.
