4 Radioactive Wasp Nests Found At Nuclear Site In South Carolina
Four radioactive wasp nests were found at a South Carolina nuclear site, raising concerns about undetected contamination. The nests, found near a former nuclear weapons production area, contained high levels of radiation but pose no risk to the public.
The nest was found on a post near Tank 17 in the F-Area Tank Farm location of the site, which used to produce materials for nuclear weapons.
