SpaceX reportedly aiming to catch both booster and ship on Flight 15

Elon Musk said SpaceX would attempt to recover both the booster and ship on Flight 15 during an Oct. 20, 2026, earnings call, according to posts by SciGuySpace and Spaceflight Now. Spaceflight Now described the plan as an attempt to catch both parts.

The timing was an expectation, not a set launch date. SciGuySpace wrote that the flight was “targeting next month”. Spaceflight Now reported that Musk called it “expected to happen next month”. Both posts were published on Oct. 20, making November 2026 the reported target.

Spaceflight Now also quoted Musk on the attempt’s chances: “Success is not guaranteed on these first flights, but I'd say it's more likely than not that this succeeds next flight.”
