Starship reaches orbit for the first time, deploys 26 satellites and splashes down

SpaceX said Starship entered Earth orbit for the first time on September 28 and deployed all 26 Starlink V3 satellites. Spaceflight Now, citing SpaceX’s Dan Huot, reported that the team would deorbit Ship 41 at its first opportunity rather than complete the full planned orbital profile. SpaceX later reported a completed deorbit burn and reentry, then confirmed splashdown.
