The survey covered 268 cities, where data was available for its 100,000-plus residents, and millennials were defined as those aged between 25 and 44, or within the birth years of 1979 and 1998. Here's what they found.

In terms of sheer volume, coastal cities New York (414,338) and Los Angeles (207,098) had the largest influx of millennials last year, followed by Chicago (193,082), Houston (157,934) and Austin (103,461).
