Miami could experience its coldest temperatures in over a decade with an overnight low of around 35 degrees.
More than 219 million people were under winter weather alerts as a powerful snowstorm impacted the Southeast and Florida experienced bitter cold. The National Weather Service warned of blizzard conditions, heavy snow, and high winds in the Carolinas. Record low temperatures were expected in several cities, with wind chills in Florida dropping to single digits. Over 1 foot of snow had fallen in parts of North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, causing travel disruptions and power outages.
