ESPN reporter says Mike McDaniel still 'very much likes' OC openings

According to ESPN NFL reporter Jeff Darlington, former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel is still interested in offensive coordinator openings, including the Detroit Lions' position. McDaniel values a great OC opportunity more than a not-great head coaching vacancy, as reported by Fox NFL reporter Greg Auman. He has interviewed for the Lions' OC vacancy and is expected to interview for the Philadelphia Eagles' OC vacancy as well. McDaniel will also interview with the Las Vegas Raiders for their OC job. The Lions are currently in the midst of a coaching search for their offensive coordinator after firing John Morton.

Former Lions offensive coordinator John Morton has joined the Denver Broncos as a postseason consultant after being let go by Detroit. Morton, who has previously worked with Broncos coach Sean Payton, will assist the AFC's top seed in their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills.
