Limiting Beliefs
Just completed my first module of the Life Coaching Diploma with the Coaching Academy. My favourite topic - Values and Beliefs. I loved every second and what a great reminder of the impact of limiting beliefs on our daily actions and outcomes.
One of my limiting beliefs is 'I'm not good with social media posting'. This is me starting to work on this negative, hold-back way of thinking. Some of the most common limiting beliefs that show up in coaching or in daily conversations are:
I'm not good enough for this job (and one day I’ll be found out)
I must stay strong/happy/slim...to be liked or respected
I don’t do conflict very well
I can’t leave because I need security
There are always options, and ways to change beliefs that don’t serve you well. Which ones are limiting you from achieving your goals?
