People Are Crawling Around Shops And Restaurants In This Bizarre New TikTok Trend
Anyone who's spent any time on TikTok knows how many weird trends are born there — but this one, which has taken off only in the last few weeks, defies explanation.
An account called @crawly_possessed, which appears to be based in Poland, is sharing videos of groups of people in hooded puffer coats crawling through clothing stores and fast food restaurants. The TikToks are accompanied by captions that read "JOIN OUR CULT" and "JOIN POSSESSED COMMUNITY." The profile also links to a Telegram account, whose bio reads: "WE ARE CULT, DESTROY YOUR LIMITATIONS, PROTEST TO SOCIETY, BE OBSESSED WITH US."
Earlier posts by the account show just one guy, in a red puffer, doing the crawling — but in roughly the space of a week, he's managed to amass a whole group of fellow crawlers, who join him in swarming various establishments.
Right now, it looks like little more than a bit of silly (if not weird) fun, but there's no denying these videos exude some pretty creepy energy.
