This past fall, Alexis Vogelzang visited Ireland for the first time to attend a wedding.

She paid 765 euros, or about $840, a night for a two-bedroom ocean-view suite at the Trump International Hotel in Doonbeg, Ireland. She thought it'd be the most comfortable option to accommodate herself, her fiancé, her mother, and her daughter.

Though they paid for a two-bedroom suite, they were upgraded to a three-bedroom suite, which typically costs about 1,250 euros, or $1,360, a night.

Here's what staying at the hotel was like.

The hotel is along Ireland's southwest coast, near Bunratty Castle and Doolin Cave.

The entire area is surrounded by rolling green hills, so our journey to the hotel had idyllic views.

The hotel had a luxurious yet modern cottage feel.

There was beauty all around, with charming cottage decor, ocean accents, and a fireplace.

The rooms in their suite had so many luxurious touches. Each room was very spacious and had its own controlled temperature.

There were walk-in closets in every room. The closets also had thick robes, slippers, and a security box.

No stone was left unturned when it came to amenities.

The washrooms featured heated flooring and waterfall showers with luxe soaps.

The waterfront hotel is by Doughmore Bay Beach. The property had gorgeous views of lush, rolling green hills and the Atlantic Ocean.

The nearby attractions were also breathtaking. The Cliffs of Moher were only a 30-minute drive from the hotel.

Though we were in Ireland, there was plenty of American cuisine. Vogelzang's family missed some American cuisine during their trip, so they turned to the dining services at the hotel.

Funny enough, the hotel seemed to be the only place in Ireland that had ranch dressing.

The Trump International Hotel's luxurious amenities and welcoming staff made our stay extremely comfortable.
