Double Counter breach exposes about 1 million email addresses

GamesIndustry.biz reports that an October 4 attack on Discord protection service Double Counter exposed about 1 million email addresses. Citing the company’s incident report, it says attackers partially copied Discord IDs and usernames for about 28 million accounts, along with IP addresses and coarse location data for about 27 million. Double Counter says it disabled stolen credentials and advised server administrators to delete suspicious messages from October 4.
