Locked Mass Effect cosmetics appear to have disappeared from Battlefield 6's store

Locked Mass Effect cosmetics spotted in Battlefield 6 earlier in October appear to have disappeared from its in-game store following news of BioWare's closure, Kenneth Shepard reported for Kotaku on Oct. 23. Kotaku said the items were removed without explanation and that it had asked EA for comment.

The cosmetics included N7-logo patches, logos on weapons and a charm of the Normandy, Commander Shepard's ship in the original Mass Effect trilogy, according to Kotaku. Its article embeds an Oct. 13 post by Kala Elizabeth suggesting the accessories were probably for N7 Day, which Kotaku describes as BioWare's annual celebration of the series. Kotaku also treated that occasion as a possibility, not an announced release date.
