Light Tiramisu (No Eggs)
This is a lighter, everyday version recipe. It skips the eggs, uses whipped cream for a softer texture, and adds a touch of vanilla to bring out the flavours. It’s fresher, easier to eat, and perfect when you want something less heavy.
(Budget friendly version below)
Ingredients (6–8 servings)
250g (1 cup) mascarpone
250ml (1 cup) 35% whipping cream
60-80g (1/3 cup) sugar (adjust to taste)
1 tsp vanilla extract
20-24 ladyfingers (250g)
250ml (1 cup) strong espresso
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Optional: 1 tbsp coffee liqueur (Kahlúa, Marsala, etc.)
Steps
Whip the cream to soft peaks (don’t overdo it).
In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone, sugar, vanilla until smooth.
Fold whipped cream into mascarpone gently. Make sure to keep it airy.
Mix coffee with liqueur if using.
Quick-dip ladyfingers in coffee (DON’T SOAK THEM).
Layer: ladyfingers → cream → repeat.
Dust with cocoa generously on top.
Chill 3-4 hours ( sets faster than the classic ).
💰 EXTRA BUDGET FRIENDLY VERSION :
So no eggs, no alcohol, no vanilla. It uses more cream than mascarpone, comes together fast and tastes closer to store bought tiramisu.
Ingredients
300ml (1 & 1/4 cups) heavy cream 35%
150ml (2/3 cup) mascarpone
35-45g (3-4 tbsp) sugar, adjust to taste
250ml (1 cup) strong coffee
~22 ladyfingers
⚠️This budget version uses a 2:1 cream to mascarpone ratio. I personally like to reduce the sugar, since the ladyfingers are already sweet.
Follow the same instructions as the light version above.
