Jason Blum and James Wan unveil Blumhouse Atomic as their merged horror company’s new name

Jason Blum and James Wan unveiled Blumhouse Atomic on Nov. 3 as the umbrella name for their merged horror production companies. It replaces Blumhouse Atomic Monster, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Blumhouse and Atomic Monster merged in 2024, according to Variety.

The new name does not retire either production label. Blumhouse and Atomic Monster will continue under their own banners, with separate creative teams developing and producing film and television projects, Deadline reported.

Blum called the name a “natural evolution” and described opportunities to take the companies’ stories into television, games and live experiences in comments quoted by . Those were opportunities he described, not announcements of new games or live events. Wan told that the combined company gives them more ways to find and support new voices in horror.
