Prosecution finishes closing argument in Russell Brand’s rape and sexual assault trial

Prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones challenged Brand’s account of an alleged 1999 incident, Variety reports. Sky News reports that she asked jurors to convict him on all charges before the prosecution finished its closing argument Friday. Brand denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty, according to Variety. The defense’s closing argument was expected Monday, Sky News reported.
