Amy Madigan is joining Viola Davis and Sam Heughan in Paramount+ thriller series ‘Ascent,’ according to Variety and Deadline. Variety attributes her character description to the streamer: Rachel is a former Ascent Ventures executive and mentor to Davis’s corporate fixer, Catriona. The series follows Catriona as her estranged daughter faces danger. Production is planned for Los Angeles in 2027, but TV Insider reported no premiere date had been announced.
