Post body previewing?
Has there been any discussion or design exploration around the possibility of giving a glimpse of post body content while skimming through the feed? While I don't have a problem with people creating link-only posts, I do appreciate it when someone has a little personal POV or context they want to share along with a link. Personally, it just makes me more likely to want to engage with the post and click through. But currently, body text is only previewed for other post types, and for link type posts it is only the URL that is previewed even when body text is present. I would love to be able to just see, at a glance, which posts have this without having to open them first and break flow from feed skimming. Certainly doesn't have to be huge, just a lightweight preview, or even just a visual indicator to let me know body text is present if nothing else feels doable. I know someone recently suggested having the TL;DR visible on the feed as well, which it sounded like the Digg staff were generally into. So I wonder if one option would be to show the TL;DR preview (just like the first two lines or something) below the URL as a baseline, and then if body text has been provided by OP it would automatically take priority over the TL;DR in this real estate?
