The holidays are here, and with them come lots of opportunities to drink booze (and perhaps too much of it). BuzzRx surveyed more than a thousand Americans — including baby boomers, Gen X, millennials and Gen Z — to find out how they consume alcohol during the holidays.

Key Findings:

• More than three in 10 respondents said they expect to binge drink on New Year's Eve.

• Of the parents of minors surveyed, over one in seven plan to binge drink on Christmas Eve.

• Wine (60 percent) is the most popular booze of choice during the holidays, followed by mixed drinks (53 percent).

• Almost half of Gen Zers reported that they consume larger quantities of alcohol to feel more comfortable at social events.

• Twelve percent of Americans, including one in six Gen Xers, said they drink during the holidays to help them deal with difficult family members.
