Some animals have night vision, others can see a full 360 degrees or have more than two eyes and some can't see anything because they're blind. We humans sit somewhere in the middle of the pack.

Have you ever heard of critical flicker fusion rate? I hadn't either. It's the threshold at which a blinking light switches from being perceived as flickering to continuous. Dragonflies and honeybees are by far the best at this, while frogs and eels are the worst. Humans sit right in the middle compared to 90 other animals.
