New study highlights Apple Watch’s role in AFib monitoring after treatment

A new study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology suggests that using the Apple Watch for daily ECG monitoring can improve post-ablation surveillance for atrial fibrillation (AFib). Conducted at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, the trial found that patients using the Apple Watch detected AFib recurrences sooner and more often, leading to fewer unplanned hospitalizations compared to standard care.
