iOS 26.3 Adds Privacy Setting to Limit Carrier Location Tracking (Only On C1, & C1X modems)

With iOS 26.3, Apple introduces a new 'limit precise location' setting to enhance user privacy by restricting the location data shared with mobile networks. This setting reduces the data available to carriers from street-level accuracy to neighborhood-level, without affecting signal quality or emergency services. Currently, only Boost Mobile in the U.S. and EE and BT in the UK support this feature, which is available on devices with Apple-designed C1 or C1X modems. Users can enable this setting in the Settings app under Mobile Data Options, though a device restart is required to activate or deactivate the feature.
