I’m loving all the sharing that’s been happening lately- thanks everyone who is contributing to all the art communities here! 🙌 It’s gotten me thinking about ‘where’. As in ‘where’ do you sketch/draw/create?
I drew this dark-skinned fairy on coloured paper, this is cardstock, just to push the toned-paper experience a notch further. I was curious about what else becomes possible when you go darker than standard toned paper.Next time I'll add black pen to see what else is possible.
I sculpt with willow. These are mostly willow. No strings or wire. Otherwise just a stone heart. I saw them, I guess, then made the sketch. One stick after another until they filled a space in the air. I really liked these two. They looked right back at me.
