Project Aqua: Adobe for Kids - App Store
Project Aqua: Adobe for Kids App is a creative app for kids aged 5–12 that transforms drawing, painting, and designing into hands-on learning. The app offers a range of activities including 3D design, digital museum creation, and special Valentine’s Day coloring pages and art activities. Users love its thoughtful design, ease of use, and the way it encourages creativity and exploration. However, some users express concern about the heavy reliance on AI features, suggesting that AI could be better used to inspire kids to try new techniques rather than relying on it.
Hey even if you aren’t a kid this app is super neat. I love the fact that it’s using some of the latest tech to handle some serious compute. It’s made by Adobe Labs, the same team behind Project Indigo - app that makes the iPhone camera actually good again.
I don’t know much about the monetization scheme but I played it for a while and didn’t have any problems doing anything I wanted to do in it. Project Indigo is free so I would expect the in-app purchases here to not be predatory. Please let me know if you find the opposite to be true.
I think this app handles generated art in the right ways. Allowing kids and parents to explore and interface with AI tools like you would using a new brush in photoshop.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
