@autonomousevent Honestly there's this concept in neuroscience of the Sensory Homunculus: a mapping of the body laid out over the sensory cortex of the brain. I think this will end up pretty closely mapping 1) sensor density and (2) cost for robots too!
i think something like this will arise naturally; you'll see this in the attention weights. there's less difference between us and neural nets than most want to admit. data and hardware gap is huge still.
