Hone has launched Engines, an enterprise AI product it says is designed to pursue business metrics over long-running workflows. The company also announced a $60 million seed round led by Benchmark and Index.
How Hone says Engines work
Hone pitches Engines as a step beyond chatbots that answer questions and agents that complete individual tasks. A user points the system at a business metric, according to the company, and the Engine onboards itself, assembles the needed agents, skills and memories, works with relevant employees and improves with experience.
The company says customers have already used Engines to find procurement savings, optimize product funnels, manage credit risk, build sales pipelines and improve implementations and account management. Hone frames success in terms of business value measured in dollars rather than token use.
The launch announcement does not identify those customers or provide pricing, availability details, audited results or an independent evaluation. For now, the clearest distinction is the product's intended scope: persistent work toward a measurable business target, rather than a single answer or task.
