At IROS 2026, Goldberg asked whether agentic robotics could replace the search for robot demonstration data. In an earlier article, he described using AI coding agents to test and improve robot-control programs largely offline. He says a sponge-wiping lab test worked on a real robot, though some trials failed and imperfect simulations remain a hurdle.
