Gone are the days when workshops were an easy, low-entry-bar venue to showcase your new ideas.. It's now become super competitive to get your paper into workshops!! I'm seeing this could be due to (a) the sheer volume of papers (which was also evident in the reciprocal review policy adopted by #ICML workshops) (b) allowing full-paper submission which likely leads to a bias towards more flushed out ideas 🤔
