Mattel will make TMNT figures instead of Playmates

Mattel has obtained the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Master License from Playmates, which will cease to sell TMNT products by December 31, 2026. Beginning in 2027, Mattel will release a range of TMNT products, including action figures, playsets, and accessories, as well as new product lines for the animated movie sequel 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2' and a live-action/CG animation hybrid set for 2028.
