Formula 1: McLaren explain cause of shock double Las Vegas disqualification

McLaren's double disqualification at the Las Vegas Grand Prix was due to excessive wear on skid blocks, caused by unexpected porpoising during the race. Despite finishing second and fourth, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were disqualified. McLaren team principal Andrea Stella explained that the car's vertical oscillations were not anticipated based on practice data, and while a safety margin was added, it was negated by the porpoising. McLaren is confident that the issue will not affect the final races of the season.
