Aussie Teen swims over 4km to save his drowning family.

Austin Appelbee, a 13-year-old boy, swam 4 kilometres through rough seas to save his family who were swept out to sea off Quindalup in Western Australia. His mother Joanne Appelbee made the difficult decision to send him to shore to get help. Austin recounted his swim to shore and subsequent run to call emergency services, which led to a multi-agency rescue effort. The family was eventually found and rescued after spending up to 10 hours at sea.
