I Won Real Money Playing Solitaire Cash And Now I'll Never Be Bored Again
If your 2020 has been anything like mine, you've had a lot of unexpected free time — perhaps even too much. To fill the time, I've been playing more games than ever and, unsurprisingly, fooling around on my phone a great deal, perusing the App Store for what else life (or Apple) has to offer. I came across an app called Solitaire Cash, and, like some kind of harmonic convergence, I saw my interest in gaming and my need to fill time collide. (With an added bonus of earning money.)
I hadn't played solitaire in years, but the game, which has been downloaded more than 1 million times, had a 4.7/5-star rating from more than 15,000 reviews. And, mostly critically, the app is free. I'll gladly pay $4.99 for literally just iced coffee, but I draw the line at $0.99 for an app. Is this logical? No. Is it consistently my truth? You betcha. Given the app's sweet price tag, I downloaded and was immediately ushered into the world of earning money by playing classic solitaire.
The app runs super smoothly and has a glossy feel to it. Its bubbly user interface is easy to navigate, and there's no shortage of offers to redeem, particularly for new users. Speaking of which, signing up was a breeze. Upon opening the app for the first time, I quickly selected a pre-generated username I liked and dove into my first game. Now, that's what I call client satisfaction. And all with no annoying ads to swipe through.
The games themselves were surprisingly addictive. Confession time: I haven't played solitaire since I was, like, 11. But playing Solitaire Cash filled me with nostalgia and reminded me why I had played the game in the first place. Soon enough, I found myself racing to beat the clock to complete the game. Even if I didn't beat the game in time, I enjoyed the pursuit of it all the same. But the faster you solve the deck, the higher the Time Bonus and, consequently, the higher the chance of winning real cash.
That's right, you heard me: cold hard cash for sitting on my couch and trying to find a red 8 for that black 9. You can throw in as little as $0.03 and win as much as $83! You can also win smaller amounts depending on where you place, so you don't even have to come out on top every time to walk away with something. So unlike Candy Crush and other games where my money would only buy virtual presents, Solitaire Cash has a system of making my money work for me.
All the money is transferred via reliable methods like Apple Pay and PayPal, so I never worried about sketchy third-party transactions with my card info. And the tournaments are skill-based, so I only faced off against people of my same skill level. I like to think I'm pretty decent at solitaire, but I'm no match for, say, my mother, who could probably star in her own spin-off of "The Queen's Gambit."
You can start playing immediately (and, hey, maybe even wind up going against me) by downloading the Solitaire Cash for free on the App Store.
*Cash tournaments aren't available in the following states: AZ, AR, IN, IA, LA, ME, MD, SC, MT and SD.
