BALL PIT IS LIFE
·Updated:
·

Chairs are overrated. So are stools, benches, seats, ledges and literally every other apparatus intended for "sitting." In fact, true, blissful comfort can only be achieved upon lying down.

If these are irrefutable facts — and they are — then why do bars force us to sit while we imbibe?

That's where Ball Pool Bar Dive comes in. Based in Osaka, Japan, BPBD is the perfect combination of your dreams from your early childhood and your early twenties. Instead of tables or chairs like a "normal" bar, Ball Pool Bar Dive is just a massive ball pit that serves booze.

It gets better. Ball Pool Bar Dive has all-you-can-drink deals for 60 and 90 minute periods. An hour and a half's worth of access to the full service bar would cost you 2,000 yen (about $20) if you're a woman, and 3,000 yen ($30-ish) if you're a man, according to Oddity Central. All drinks are served in airtight mason jars that are as hip as they are functional.

Look at that swim-up bar. Beautiful.

Those TV screens could stay off forever or play the TV guide on loop or play a Yule log in September and this place would still be the best bar ever. It's not even a contest really.
