- musicforus, on 08/13/2008, -8/+183The pudding analogy is better and more useful than anything they tried to teach me in church as a kid. Come to think of it, so was the original Prince of Persia game.
- MasterBeowulf, on 08/13/2008, -35/+183i gotta say, the new opening song is starting to grow on me.
- aDFP, on 08/13/2008, -4/+129portal, silent hill 2, pop sot, spiderman 2 and fantasy world dizzy. can i have the eternal contempt of the entire digg community now please?
- fpaudon, on 08/13/2008, -4/+128"A few years had to go by before the huge turd passed through the rectum of general memory"
Oh Yahtzee, your eloquence knows no bounds - Cubedude04, on 08/13/2008, -4/+73I really hope the Prince of Persia movie turns out to be good.
- maggock, on 08/13/2008, -1/+69In order:
Portal
Silent Hill 2
PoP: Sands of Time (duh)
Spiderman 2
Fantasy World Dizzy - Blackrites, on 08/13/2008, -6/+51Anime-Columbo is immense.
- masterandalf, on 08/13/2008, -4/+48Portal, Call of Duty 4, Sands of Time, those three definitely ... psychonauts, and that one he mentions occasionally that was back in the atari generation...
- pos3000, on 08/13/2008, -3/+46Anyone wish to venture a guess at what his top 5 games are.
- aDFP, on 08/13/2008, -4/+47yes, now stfu
- NRay7882, on 08/13/2008, -1/+39Yahtzee's wit is amazing, and which makes me digg these almost every week. But the expression of the review, "Zero Punctuation" is starting to slip away. IMO, it was much funnier when he just rambled the review into one long sentence.
- Frazzlet, on 08/13/2008, -3/+36So you can watch him punch his penis?
- Namco, on 08/13/2008, -3/+34Actually it's:
Bubsy 3d
Golgo 13
PoP: Sands of Time
Big Motha' Truckers
Deadly Towers - t2t2, on 08/13/2008, -1/+25Fantasy World Dizzy for C64 (episode "Console Rundown")
(Edit: already posted bellow by aDFP) - lakersdominate, on 08/13/2008, -9/+30Portal
Silent Hill 2
Prince of Persia
Spider-Man 2
Dizzy for the Commodore 64 - h1forlife, on 08/13/2008, -6/+27Same here, I found myself humming it while waiting for the website to load.
- mbraynard, on 08/13/2008, -6/+26Really? There's absolutely nothing to it. It's just a few boring guitar licks.
It's closer to the soundtrack from a game that Y is going to rip more than reflective of his simultaneously un-surprised yet still over-the-top criticisms.
Much more mood-setting is the escapist old-timey film projector noise at the very beginning. - Darkangel754, on 08/13/2008, -0/+17I can only make out what looks to be Spider-man 2 or 3 and Silent Hill 2
- dsmx, on 08/13/2008, -4/+20LOl at the end there where Dr Who owns the PoP.
- Disease, on 08/13/2008, -1/+16As in more games for Yahtzee to encourage you to BitTorrent.
- TVarmy, on 08/13/2008, -0/+15I'm starting to like it in the Pavlov sense. I know something funny and entertaining will come after it, so by association, I like it. The Scary Movie guys should totally pay to use it before their movies so they'll seem less crappy by association.
- Bologner, on 08/13/2008, -6/+19I hope that putting Spider Man in there was just a huge joke to throw people off.
- aDFP, on 08/13/2008, -1/+13One of the Dizzy games, maybe Treasure Island Dizzy?
- Syncdata, on 08/13/2008, -1/+13Spiderman 2 was badass, I still spend more time then I probably should webswinging around virtual Manhattan/Queens.
- TVarmy, on 08/13/2008, -0/+11It's not too hard to figure it out if you have Photoshop and Dragon Naturally Speaking. Just take a screenshot, load it into PS, and say, "Computer, enhance image." If that doesn't work, say "Please," or "Sudo," or "letmein."
- kermit450, on 08/13/2008, -0/+11Normally I try to pass on digging every ZP or XKCD post ... but the pudding was too great not to Digg
- Rapsting, on 08/13/2008, -3/+13I liked the part where he talked about Prince of Persia.
- BestJaxx, on 08/13/2008, -2/+12I'm still don't like it. Don't think I ever will.
- NateTheGreat7, on 08/13/2008, -3/+13Is Fantasy World Dizzy a real game, cuz if so i intend to find a copy and play it, if only because of his persistent nagging.
- inactive, on 08/13/2008, -0/+8You can see Spiderman 2 and portal through the blurs.
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -0/+8What the bloody ***** are you talking about?
- Memitim, on 08/14/2008, -0/+8It's generically decent but I miss the relevant music clips. They would sometimes give me a chuckle as I made the connection to the game being reviewed.
- Gizza, on 08/14/2008, -1/+8Actually, I don't think he has slowed down. We've just gotten use to it. Go back and watch the first ones, they don't seems as fast as I remember.
- Trifold, on 08/13/2008, -2/+9Hey look, somebody sarcastically complaining about the number of comments in the clip containing quotes from the clip! Thank you for reminding me how often that's done!
Oh sorry, I mean (insert (insert joke from video here) here).
Seriously, ZP has been on Digg forever at this point. When you click on comments, you should know what to expect. - rl41, on 08/13/2008, -0/+6Painkiller too? He had a good retrospect on that one
- BestJaxx, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5Sorry, I* still don't like it.
- musicforus, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5It wasn't in the video, I'm just saying I liked the analogy...
- freezerburn666, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5two thrones is pretty sweet, with the prince constantly arguing with himself u really a get a sense that hes ***** mental in the head, and then playing as the evil prince is fun and challenging, having to kill to stay alive
- dysfunction, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5Tyrghast: he liked that one, though.
- VcTrMASO, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5Um, I close down the tab when Yahtzee is done. Those ads at the end are not intrusive at all.
- JudgeMonkey, on 08/13/2008, -1/+6Yeah, I mean I would still have preferred a custom selected track, but as I expected when the change occurred, I have grown to.... not despise it, is that tame enough?
- GregIsLegend, on 08/14/2008, -0/+5Why was this dugg down?
- Namco, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5Yeah, I'm looking for the Soul Calibur review... (says a dude named Namco, I know)
- Neenja, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5It looks about right but what about painkiller?
- kss42, on 08/14/2008, -0/+5Hey Dwight, want an Altoid?
- espoandy, on 08/13/2008, -0/+5Congratulations! You won Yahtzee's utter disgust
- masterandalf, on 08/13/2008, -1/+5cuz everyone knows that PC is actually far superior to console gaming...lol well thats my opinion, i am too clumsy with a controller, but i have respect for my brothers on the console games who are really good too
- AvangionQ, on 08/13/2008, -7/+11The first Prince of Persia was my favorite in the trilogy and is to date one of my all-time favorite platformers, while I didn't particularly care for the changes made in the second and third games -- Yahtzee hit the nail on the head perfectly in his description of the series ... here's to hoping that the upcoming 4th Prince of Persia game lives up to the best aspects of the previous three chapters ...
- 2Bnor2B, on 08/13/2008, -0/+4If you think that's fun (to each their own I guess) you should check out the projects in Digg labs http://labs.digg.com/
- X9001, on 08/13/2008, -1/+5Does anyone have it on tabs?
