I've created 2 avatars so far, a Vampire & a Zombie for my 2 accounts. Options are pretty limited as of now, but most gamers will just overlook this feature.
2) Explore the all new dashboard.
I did this for about 2 hours this morning, it moves a lot quicker. I'm not missing the original design, at least not yet.
3) Check out Xbox LIVE Parties and chat with up to seven of your friends.
This is my main feature, this is great. For anyone like me who has to manage dozens of gaming friends every time you log on, this is awesome. Instead of getting bombarded with invites or chats, make an open party and whoever wants to speak with you can come and go as they please.
4) Themes.
I'm not that big into themes, but they do change the way the Dashboard Friends List looks, browsing avatars.
5) Marketplace on Xbox.com.
This is a great feature! Being able to view your Download History on the site is a godsend for a gamer like me who has over 1,500 pieces of content downloaded since day 1. And setting up a que from the site is quick and easy.
6) Netflix
Another thing i'm not that big into but I'm well aware thousands of others are. Maybe one day i'll look into this.
7) Install to / Play from Hard Drive.
GREAT FEATURE! I installed 3 games so far, Gears 2, Left 4 Dead, & COD4. It works great! COD4 is the only disc that makes my 360 sound like a blender (maybe cuz it's the most played game disc?) but now with the install, it's so quiet and runs just as great, if not better.
8) Delete Zero Gamerscore games.
WOW! I've been waiting for this for a long time. Being on the 360 since launch and playing all those Arcade games sure did pump up my played list but it became cluttered. So I had to go through and remove about 40 Trial stamps off my list.
9) Press the Xbox 360 button on your controller to see the all new Guide.
Awesome Guide. It's like the old dashboard, but shrunk down, with all the most important quick links. Anyone not digging the layout, get used to the Guide Button.
10) Take a look at Community Games in the Games Marketplace.
I browsed through them but did not play any yet. Where is Dishwasher??

Well done Xbox Team! - KingGoonie, on 11/19/2008, -5/+2Avatars need more options... It sucks going from all the options of the Mii to this... And before you all start saying "WHAT! YOU CAN CHANGE CLOTHS!" Uh huh.. and?? You can't change colors so who the hell cares. I want the black shirt WITHOUT the dollar sign. But whatever, it is at least cool they haev different clothes.
BUT.
You can't move any facial features around, or change their size. Can't lower the mouth, can't spread apart the eyes, can't diaganol the eyebrows, etc.... To me that stuff was more important. And honestly... the choices, while I guess more... aren't as good. They had a whole screen of yes that, I'm sorry, look pretty much the same.
But the fangs are awesome lol
