- jestro, on 08/01/2008, -25/+58Too bad it's a heaping pile of *****.
- Cancerkitty, on 08/01/2008, -6/+34Sounds pretty sweet.
- cbrunet, on 08/01/2008, -17/+40Hopefully once this crap is finished they can move on to Eternal Darkness 2.
- AndrewDB, on 08/02/2008, -12/+29The demo's been out for sometime on the Live Marketplace, it was a day one purchase for me before I tried the demo.
It's 1.1 gig of pure *****. - inactive, on 08/02/2008, -5/+19I felt like I went a step back with videogames after playing.
- GlitchEnzo, on 08/01/2008, -7/+20After reading some rather negative previews, I wasn't really expecting much from the demo. However, I have now completed it 3 times. The Berserker class is awesome! I am actually going to preorder the game this weekend (you get 5 sets of armor when you preorder it).
- GlitchEnzo, on 08/02/2008, -2/+14I could understand someone comparing it to Devil May Cry. Hell I could even understand someone comparing it to Diablo. But I can NOT understand someone comparing it to Halo.
You sir, are an idiot! - username9000, on 08/02/2008, -1/+12no.
- billjimbob, on 08/02/2008, -1/+12Hint: you can unlock all the classes in the demo.

I thought the game was average after playing through it with the champion, but the other classes made it a must-buy for me. A lot of variety between the classes. - inactive, on 08/01/2008, -9/+20Talk about a popular game, wow.
- Danofdeath, on 08/02/2008, -6/+17Am I the only one who actually really enjoyed it?
- GlitchEnzo, on 08/02/2008, -5/+16And yet you click on the digg story AND you comment on it.
- WhereAmI, on 08/02/2008, -23/+33The demo sucked.
- GungHoTang, on 08/02/2008, -3/+13I don't think 900,000 demo downloads really matter. People on xbox live can be demo whores, I'll admit I've downloaded demos just for the hell of it. What really matters are the reviews, and the sales figures of the game itself.
- GlitchEnzo, on 08/02/2008, -3/+12It hasn't really been in development for 10 years. They started working on it 10 years ago (as an action-adventure), but then they stopped to work on Eternal Darkness. Then they did Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. After that they started from scratch on Too Human again using the Unreal Engine 3 (as an action rpg). Then they pretty much started from scratch AGAIN after they threw out the Unreal Engine and sued Epic. So I guess, technically it has only been in development a little over a year.
- iBeej, on 08/01/2008, -6/+15Ok, ok... i'll check it out. Hi, I'm hype's bitch.
- piisexactly3, on 08/02/2008, -4/+13I really don't understand why there is so much hate against this game.
It's a 3rd person dungeon crawler with a unique control scheme and an interesting back story. If you don't like those characteristics in a game then move on.
I played the demo, played it again, enjoyed it and then went and pre-ordered. - inactive, on 08/01/2008, -8/+17Oh thats looks awesome!
- LimeParrot, on 08/02/2008, -2/+10900,000 demo downloads prove it's a good game? It just proves people are willing to try it... I tried it and it's not that great. I might buy it when it becomes a lot cheaper.
- Topwolf, on 08/02/2008, -1/+9I have been following this game since its inception and after watching the vids of "NFC" and all the other viral marketing I was pumped yet when I played the demo I was a little dismayed that it did not bring that epic feel...I'll have to wait for the full version I guess. I was just so excited for this game and now almost disappointing that it did not meet my expectations.
A Demo Review...
The Bad:
- The camera was kind of bothersome at times.
- Full control of the swinging motion of a melee weapon takes quite a bit to get used to
- The graphics are not anything spectacular
- The storyline from the demo has really not gotten me excited, didn't draw me in.
- Enemies look the same...except the big robot things with the hammers (not a unique feel like diablo anyways).
- Weapon drops and skill drops from enemies were in the form of scrolls which is very generic not like the drops in diablo (ie you would see a piece of armor or a weapon or gold on the ground)
-The experience/skill/equipment menus looked very last minute as if not much effort was put into them. They are a bit confusing at first and look kind of bland!
The Good:
- Customization of character and weapons looks like it will be amazing for the full release
- The story has potential
- More enemy classes add more potential
Overall:
I am a bit disappointed at the overall feel I had coming away from the demo. I was not as excited or felt a connection with the game like I did with such games as Mass Effect for the story line, or Fable for the matter. The explorer part of me wanted a game like baulders gate or Daiblo yet that wasn't there either. Silicon Knights had me truly excited for this game especially with the years of development yet For now until the final game I can only say that this will not be in my top 10 list for the next year. It seems like a mediocre game thus far with just the demo, I hope the final game boosts this meager rating. On a scale form 1 to 10 I'd have to say it deserves a 7/10 thus far with my personal outlook on it after playing the demo. I know everyone will have a different say and this is just my opinion. - dafragsta, on 08/02/2008, -1/+9Yeah, you should see how many people own XBOX 360s
- uberstu, on 08/02/2008, -1/+9Welcome to gaming son.
- username9000, on 08/02/2008, -5/+13well, obviously i have been dugg down by a sony fanboy. i have a ps3 and have made my thoughts clear. i have been dugg down by someone that can't translate their thoughts into words, just mouse clicks.
- Wetzilla, on 08/02/2008, -0/+7I believe gold actually means that all the coding is done, and the final, "gold" discs have been sent to the printer for printing. It has nothing to do with how many people bought the game or played the demo. So technically every game goes gold before it comes out
- royalwcheese, on 08/02/2008, -0/+7I liked it alot actually.
- Raethar, on 08/02/2008, -2/+8i still haven't seen a plausible reason that the game sucks
ffs i'm buying it, screw you guys - JollyDumple, on 08/02/2008, -0/+6From the demo, it seems like its actually a really good kinda diablo like game. A lot of people just dont like it because its not what they expected or what they're used to.
- inactive, on 08/02/2008, -3/+9Sounds like some mix reviews. If I had time to play video games I'd try it out.
- Aharoni, on 08/02/2008, -0/+6You do know what "goes gold" means, right? all games that come out "go gold".
Going gold means that the production is done and the final shipping version of the game has been sent for distribution (making the DVDs, boxing, etc.) - username9000, on 08/02/2008, -11/+17@gungHoTang...
xbox 360 users have the luxury of being spoiled with demos.....i have a ps3 and i will tell you this much; i will not get sucked into the sony fanboyism and buy pixeljunk monsters without a ***** demo. ***** COME TO THINK OF IT SONY HAS their PSN, but there is NO ***** RHYME OR REASON TO IT. Pathetic. I want demos...Sony doesn't give demos...***** they don't give anything except lower defense games as their flagship PSN games and geometry wars rip offs....still no demos...***** 'em. - iamacomputer, on 08/02/2008, -2/+7@Swellin
The game being downloaded 900,000 times and it going gold are two different sentiments. "Going gold" means the game code is 100% complete and is ready to be sent in for final approval from the publisher, the platform holder, and manufacturing. Archive quality CDRs and DVD-Rs usually appear gold-colored, which is where the phrase comes. Might want to check your own points before asking others how ***** stupid they can be . . . - solidus636, on 08/02/2008, -5/+10SHUT THE ***** UP USERNAME9000!!! Yes I'm yelling. You ***** fanboy.
- JollyDumple, on 08/02/2008, -0/+5I actually think the game seems really good as a different kind of diablo style action rpg, but i'm gonna have to digg you up for sharing your opinion on the game in a reasonable way that makes sense, as opposed to nearly all the other comments here.
- Fuzi, on 08/02/2008, -1/+6I didn't like the demo the first play through but I gave it another shot and I found myself liking it more the second and third as you get use to the game controls/mechanics. This game definitely isn't for everyone, esp ones that don't like the diablo grind/dungeon crawler.
Also I think the creator Dennis Dyack is a crazy. - inactive, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4Thor damnit, may Thor have mercy on your soul.
- username9000, on 08/02/2008, -5/+9i honestly felt like, hmm...as much as i want to hate this *****, it is addictive as hell. I had to give it the full demo to figure it out, but damn if I can't tell you how many demos i have quit after a few minutes. this was a demo i not only finished, but has me aching to play more..which is the point of a demo..right?
- staticneuron, on 08/02/2008, -2/+6The demo did suck. And I was disappointed. Beautiful graphics, awesome biomech type design, poor animation and I personally wasn't thrilled about the gameplay nor the menu. I played it for over an hour before I finally decided that it wasn't growing on me.
You would have imagined that over the period of these ten years, even though they had to scrap story and artwork that they at least refined the gameplay a little bit more. For some reason it feels just a little off.... as if its one step away from greatness. - Bith8654, on 08/02/2008, -1/+5Ok you're either 1. paid by microsoft or 2. developing a pretty unhealthy obession. It's a little scary...
- Qumahlin, on 08/02/2008, -1/+4Thankfully the same people who hate it on the internet are the same people who go out and buy the game. Thats the beauty of ***** on the internet, they say whatever will get people riled up even when they believe the opposite.
- Swellin, on 08/02/2008, -1/+4yup that would be the point, get people to play, and see if they enjoy it or not. I on the other had hated this demo, the combat pissed me off the shooting, and the sword were disappointing at best for me. But to be honest i could probably get use to that, if it weren't for all that and then the coup De tat that ***** ass ***** camera angle i might have kept on playing this game. I cannot express how much the camera angles pissed me off in this game, and unfortunately for my if the angle of the camera pisses me off constantly it really does not matter how much fun the game is, i cannot continue on with the game. And this ***** camera sucked balls, and yes i tried the far away one the close up one etc. all sucked dick. too bad
- inactive, on 08/02/2008, -2/+5I need to try it.
- ThetaDot, on 08/02/2008, -1/+4I rather liked it.
To each his own... - Suprfire, on 08/03/2008, -2/+5It's over 900,000!
- GlitchEnzo, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3The berserker is already unlocked, so you don't have to do the clock trick.
- username9000, on 08/02/2008, -4/+7how am i a moron vpshockwave? I am sure that is the LAST question a fanboy like you thought would be presented...but there you go.
how am i a moron when i own a wii, a 360 and a ps3? i actually have something to say. what do you have to say that has any meaning? - staticneuron, on 08/02/2008, -3/+5You coulda asked somebody. But thats besides the point that you are full of *****. I did dl a demo for all the pixel junks (racers, monsters and eden) and thats what prompted me to avoid racers and pick up monsters and I am about to pick up eden.
There are constantly demo's on the PSN store for both PSN games (elephunk an eden are the most recent) and instore games (madden 2009, facebreaker and lego indiana jones are most recent) So
Thats why you are being dugg down. You are obviously full of *****. But thats ok..... spout your nonesense louder so those who actually own PS3's can call you on it. - kingmanic, on 08/02/2008, -1/+3Its because the lead designer basically dared the internet to hate it. Hubris like that don't tend to end well.
- sam74, on 08/02/2008, -3/+5i'll try it
- soljin, on 08/02/2008, -2/+4Did you play it more than once? I would definitely give it a second try. The first time through I really didn't get it. I played the second time through and it totally sucked me in. I would also recommend doing the clock trick and try it with the berzerker.
- Qumahlin, on 08/02/2008, -1/+3Actually your completely wrong thanks to the demo being on xbox live. Not to mention the game isn't crap, unless you've tried playing it with the various classes your opinion means jack *****.
