- gameboi, on 10/10/2007, -11/+134After viewing the video for myself, I fail to see where the guy says this. Yes he talks about the warranty extension, and failed consoles — but not once does he say anything about avoiding the Xbox 360. In fact, he even compliments the large selection of great games for the console.
As damaging as this would be for Microsoft (The Today Show has a huge audience), it was never said. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume you misunderstood what he was saying. - mistahroth, on 10/10/2007, -71/+157Good advice
- SeNiLe911, on 10/10/2007, -12/+60The "Loot Ninja" is a bias moron.
Watch the video, the Tech Guru never once advised people NOT to buy an Xbox 360. What a moron.

- Duggan360, on 10/10/2007, -14/+52My launch console still works, i treat my 360 good :)
- readme, on 10/10/2007, -18/+50Do not buy a 360 until the Falcon (aka Reliable Edition) ships in the Fall.
- MillionsLivio, on 10/10/2007, -11/+37Buried as inaccurate.
- mephitix, on 10/10/2007, -9/+33Ummm.. Loot Ninja either didn't watch the same Today show or completely made up this story. Here's the REAL video: http://video.msn.com/v/us/fv/msnbc/fv.htm??g=20d7c5cc-8c04-4d80-8fec-922fc0473476&f=05&fg=rss
- YouRookies, on 10/10/2007, -21/+44Don't know why your being dugg down. He's right. Why buy it now? Wait until MS replaces it's faulty hardware. By that time the better games will be out.
- spidoman, on 10/10/2007, -4/+26I have a busted 360 right beside me, feel free to send me a PS3 and I will ship this POS to you.
- Kreigster, on 10/10/2007, -40/+60I'd rather have a busted 360 than a ps3
- LiquidChimera, on 10/10/2007, -6/+22you hope
- jacksons98, on 10/10/2007, -5/+20@baldr The three year warranty only covers the Red ring issue, the other issues are only the 1 year warranty. So it's still better to wait.

Exceptions: Televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPOD / MP3 players and cellular phones must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund."
Straight from Costco's website. It was changed within the last few months. - Ajajadude, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17Yes, because having that 3 year warranty means you will never get the RRoD. The warranty just means you'll get it fixed for free...but you have to wait several weeks to be able to play again. That isn't why I buy electronics.
- brundlefly76, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Vista isnt horrendous at all, it just is not a compelling upgrade.
Search indexing and system restore are the two major reasons people dont like the performance, but if you turn those off it runs as well as XP and has better battery life.
I still prefer XP though, but I dont think Vista is horrible. - mephitix, on 10/10/2007, -6/+15Loot Ninja either didn't watch the same Today show or completely made up this story. Here's the REAL video: http://video.msn.com/v/us/fv/msnbc/fv.htm??g=20d7c5cc-8c04-4d80-8fec-922fc0473476&f=05&fg=rss

Not in the mood right now. - CraigCarlyle, on 10/10/2007, -5/+13If you're waiting until the end of the year, you're not playing on a 360 for a dozen weeks already.
- terminalpariah, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11I love my 360 but I have to agree. I'm now telling people to wait for the 65nm revision.

- MisterPink, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8key phrase: "Coming in a few months"
What if I want to play games now? I'd rather not spend $500 on a dvd player that might play some good games a few months from now - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9When is Xbox 360 Service Pack 2 out?
- kylesellers, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9The submitter, mjbanks, is from loot-ninja and is simply spamming digg and happened to get lucky this time. Bury as spam--not as inaccurate.
- lintmonster, on 10/10/2007, -10/+16Wow, how can a site turn a newz story around so @$$ backward?!?
I like my 360 very much even if I were to get the RROD. Wait if you want but with a 3 year warranty there really is no reason to, theirs a lot of good games out and more to come. - expert01, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Okay... where does it mention game systems?
- TacticalPenguin, on 10/10/2007, -5/+10No, you treat it well.
- pamon, on 10/10/2007, -5/+10buried inaccurate
- Fentekreel, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6So, instead of being deprived of your system because there is actually a problem that will need to be fixed....and "..will still be without a product i purchased for an extended period of time.." Your going to intentionally deprive yourself of any game released for the console because you "...want a product without design flaws" (if there is such a device) all for the fact that ....what? the console could fail...but hasn't yet....seems like your missing the point of them extending your warranty....
- knodi, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9Where in there do they say to stay away from Xbox 360? Buried!
- gvolt9amer, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9bury this, people... they never say anything about not buying one in the video.
- Hastin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Exactly. He never said not to buy one.
- Ajajadude, on 10/10/2007, -9/+14When I buy something, I want it to free of design flaws. A warranty covering design flaws is no consolation to me. I still will be without the product I purchased for an extended period of time and some warranty won't make me feel better about that.
This is why I'm not using my 360, waiting until they've confirmed the flaw is fixed so I can swap it using the replacement warranty I bought at EB. Until then, I'll just exclusively play my PS3. - fatfreddyscat, on 10/10/2007, -4/+8Buried as *****.misinformation
- truspector, on 10/10/2007, -7/+11Considering Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, and the real GTA 4 are exclusive to the 360 and all coming out this year I don't think I'd be able to forget about it.

If anything, it should be about the idiot they have talking about the consoles. He clearly has no idea what anything really is. Buried for all kinds of stupidity.
- allahuakbar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6So many stupid people, so many tubes to clog...
- mokkos, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5wow, to non-functioning videogame console for a working one is beyond being a fanboy... It's pretty sad to see others digg the comment up so much as well...
- Optimaximal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I'm sure that a game system falls under the loose definition of 'computer'
- kylesellers, on 10/10/2007, -5/+8It's also worth submitting that the submitter, mjbanks, IS loot-ninja and has posted nothing but loot-ninja spam on digg.
He got lucky this time... - gwolf, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Yes but they are also applying a fix to repaired consoles in the mean time. My 360 is pretty reliable provided I keep it well ventilated and don't move it while it's running (common sense), you shouldn't have a problem. If it does screw up MS will replace it with the new and improved version. If someone is so cash strapped that a 3 or 4 hundred dollar purchase breaking scares the hell out of them, they need to re-examine their financial priorities.
