- twiztidsinz, on 05/27/2008, -5/+7Because the submitter only has a 4% popular ratio.
To try and keep the people like you from bitching "zomg anudder MrBabyMan stori" people who have a lower popular ratio get to the front page easier than someone with a higher ratio. - mywhitenoise, on 05/27/2008, -1/+14Why is the question asked every ***** day?
- xOKxWhy, on 05/27/2008, -20/+3Supposedly it's fixed in the retail version
- MasterPlayer, on 05/27/2008, -13/+47You can tell Microsoft wanted Team Ninja to push the game out quickly and before MGS4 so they could steal some of its thunder. It's a shame really, with more time they could have fixed the framerate and camera issues in the game.
- BitKid, on 05/27/2008, -25/+13No way is Ninja Gaiden going to steal anything from Metal Gear Solid 4. Unless you're one of the unlucky owners of a XBox 360...poor saps.
- tchawla, on 05/27/2008, -4/+4Actually, I have a PS3 and no Xbox 360. I won't be picking up MGS 4 and am pretty sad NGII is not on the PS3. The first one (and black, and sigma) are fantastic skillful games.
(By first one, I mean the Xbox one, yes, I know there were others before that, I guess I should say the first 3D one). - HarryTruman, on 05/27/2008, -15/+7Yes, we're the poor bastards that haven't been waiting since launch for our first "big title."
- mywhitenoise, on 05/27/2008, -2/+6Didn't Gears Of War take a year to come out?
Anyway, my first big title was Ratchet and Clank, and I had fun with Warhawk, Resistance, and Motorstorm before that. - BitKid, on 05/27/2008, -0/+4Yes, but what an amazing title it will be. Mwahahaha.

- soot, on 05/27/2008, -6/+11"Microsoft Sequels™ -- Make it faster! Make it cheaper! Hey, how come this game plays like *****?"
- thesauce, on 05/27/2008, -8/+20I ***** hate digg. The article mentions it has SLIGHT slowdowns and everyone acts like it's a ***** dealbreaker. The people here are so stupid they probably didn't even read the review.
- Traiklin, on 05/27/2008, -2/+12that's what the patch will be for.
- RisingAgainst, on 05/27/2008, -8/+4Usually, I find when people in reviews complain about camera angles, primarily in reviews, it's because they were simply sucking at the game and they have to find some sort of explanation, because usually in the same review they'll talk either a.about the difficulty or b.the game is basically cheap in one way or another. I'll probably get dugg down for this, but only once have I ever had a game that gave me bad camera angles except occasionally in Sonic Adventure 2 on DC, and it was easily fixed by usage of the magical left and right triggers. I see it a lot of reviews I see stuff like that. I find it more annoying each time, because a lot of games now have cameras that you can center with a click of the thumbstick.
- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+0I don't feel that camera issues in this game deserve how much emphasis they're getting, but honestly it is a bad problem. NG Sigma had a really crappy camera, and most of the time it isn't that big of a deal but it is frustrating when you're in a really frenzied fight (mission mode gets insane sometimes) and suddenly I can't even see Ryu because the camera did something wonky. I realize I just have to push R2 to center it behind him but in NG a split second is often the difference between success and failure.
Bottom line, the issue deserves to be brought up, but in less it's far worse then it was in prior games, it won't be a gamebreaker for most people.

- bizarrorollins, on 05/27/2008, -3/+31Not Acceptable
- houndeyex, on 05/27/2008, -2/+15It's only not acceptable because this is a console game. If it was a PC game, they would be like "***** optimizing. Everyone who complains should go buy new hardware."
- Wartz, on 05/27/2008, -4/+3That only happens with console games(EA, ubisoft, etc) straight ported to PC and a few others like Crysis.
- sovietninja, on 05/27/2008, -1/+5GOW has slowdowns, GTA 4 has slowdowns, Halo 3 has slowdowns, DiRT has slowdowns. People talk about optimizing, but you do know what that really means right? Reducing the number of polygons or textures used in a scene. at the expense of scene complexity. It's the difference between Crysis Medium Settings and Crysis Very High.
I find it acceptable, unless the game looks like ***** like Turning Point: Fall of Liberty.- zzz@tkz, on 05/27/2008, -1/+1I have never noticed slowdowns in H3, except when overloading, but in CoD4, my framerate randomly just stops for a few seconds in the middle of a game, not too sure what is up with that. Has happened maybe 5 times. GTAIV suffers a similar issue, but not nearly the degree of CoD4.
- volacide, on 05/27/2008, -5/+1All those games are irrelevant, Ninja Gaiden is a completely different type of game where FPS is key to enjoyment and success. By all means they *should* have reduced poly counts or compress textures because visuals take a backseat to performance in these types of games.
Actually, I don't find Gaiden 2 to be all that great to begin with visually, Sigma seems more crisp on the PS3 already. - volacide, on 05/28/2008, -0/+1You've got to be a god damned imbecile if you thumbed me down and don't simply realize that some genres can push the boundaries of graphics and performance but still seem to run just fine. Case in point is a slow paced RPG. That works the exact opposite when you think about a game like Ninja Gaiden needing a blisteringly smooth framerate above all else.
Or maybe I just got thumbed down because I said Sigma looks better on the PS3 than NG2 does on the 360. It's not my fault they spent way too much time trying to make it overly bloody and gory. I never played Ninja Gaiden for the gore, I played it for the combat.
- houndeyex, on 05/27/2008, -2/+15It's only not acceptable because this is a console game. If it was a PC game, they would be like "***** optimizing. Everyone who complains should go buy new hardware."
- reconflux, on 05/27/2008, -14/+2Again, let's review it. This is how game companies see it....
PAL = BETA
NTSC = GOLD/FINAL- Azimuth1, on 05/27/2008, -0/+4So in most cases, the beta version comes out after the final version?
- kingmanic, on 05/27/2008, -0/+18Well. Just deserts for a loud mouthed visionary. NG was full of awesomeness and innovation but took years to percolate. It seems Itagaki needs more time but his publisher (MS) doesn't want to wait. Advanced reviews seem to put NGII in the "good but unremarkable" category. I hope it doesn't suck outright.
- Jibberwalk, on 05/27/2008, -8/+3I love Itagaki. He's pretty much a demigod. I don't care for any of his games, but him as a person -- I adore.
- diggdiggerid, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2I'm pretty much the opposite. I like his games (well, the NG series, I don't like fighting games) but Itagaki is a pompous ***** and I don't really care for him as a person.
- quaunaut, on 05/27/2008, -2/+3From what I've read, the reviews weren't saying "Good but Unremarkable" as much as "Awesome, but you probably won't see the second half of the game 'cause its too hard".
- kingmanic, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2The ones I've read have outlined that it's a lot of good design like the first game interspersed with incredibly poor design which is what makes it hard to impossible. Bad camera, Cheap shot bosses, cheap shot encounters... interspersed with more of the goodness form the original. The original was hard but fair. You had ample chance to fend off the enemies and while they were hard it was all up to you. According to most advanced reviewers this is not the case with #2. This seems to be a case of lack of polish ruining a game.
- Jibberwalk, on 05/27/2008, -8/+3I love Itagaki. He's pretty much a demigod. I don't care for any of his games, but him as a person -- I adore.
- miriv365, on 05/27/2008, -12/+2It's the PAL version...doesn't affect me....
- mrelusive, on 05/27/2008, -7/+24CVG doesn't exactly have the greatest track record for posting factual news or reports...
- drlha, on 05/27/2008, -3/+4I guess we'll wait for NG2:Black, because apparently along with framerate issues, there are some issues with the balance in the gameplay, i.e. where NG was punishingly hard but rewarding, NG2 apparently can be almost impossibly hard in places and takes a few cheap shots (like a boss that explodes when you kill it, and if you don't dodge or have enough health, the explosion will kill you).
- BlackholeStorm, on 05/27/2008, -0/+4Itagaki said that NG2 is the last game in the series.
- soot, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7Well ***** THAT GUY.
- logicalnoise, on 05/27/2008, -4/+3so he should feel bad for knowing when to stop working on a franchise? (looking at you kojima)
- Teej, on 05/27/2008, -0/+5He'll do it live.
- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+0Who knows what he means, but I wouldn't count out additional content. He just said there wouldn't be a sequel. Technically Black wasn't a sequel it was just a repackaging of the game with new content and gameplay tweaks. It's still the same game. I'd be more surprised if we DON'T see another iteration of NG2.
As far as cheap shots go, that's pretty much the norm for NG. The exploding boss thing does sound a bit extreme, but honestly (maybe I just am not a very hardcore gamer) didn't you guys want to scream at times with the first game? I remember the fight with Alma practically had me pulling out my hair, because it was really tough and she had this annoying attack that would take half your life and you couldn't pause during the attack (They fixed this in Sigma allowing you to use potions at any time) and replenish you health. It was aggravated by the fact that the last save point wasn't right near her. You had to tread through some black ninjas first. I expect that kind of stuff from NG, because it's known for having an absolutely brutal difficulty.
- soot, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7Well ***** THAT GUY.
- BlackholeStorm, on 05/27/2008, -0/+4Itagaki said that NG2 is the last game in the series.
- INTERNETMASTER, on 05/27/2008, -5/+18'By Itagaki's own admission, there's nothing more to be done with his famed third-person action series, so Ninja Gaiden II will be the last in the series.
Downers
Horrible camera (still!)
Occasional slowdown
Mid-combat loading
Too similar to the original'
xD- Cybermaul, on 05/27/2008, -3/+4You know, I'm really not surprised that this will be a 'Microsoft Sequel' after all. It's not like they haven't done the exact same thing to countless other franchises before this one (e.g. Halo, Age of Empires, Rise of Nations, Windows, etc).
- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+0When you say that MS did it, are you meaning that they forced the developer to rush the product? I'm assuming that's what you must mean, because they don't directly create these games, and aren't responsible for the way a game plays, etc.

- hydroplane, on 05/27/2008, -0/+61I noticed that the dwarfs on level 4 look too much like the elves on level 6.

I'm not console gamer, but y'all guys need to demand 30 or 60fps min games.
Now they keep saying the retail version of this game will not be like that, so good luck to y'all on that...- Aplmf, on 05/27/2008, -3/+14Framerate issues on consoles sucks hard because you cant do anything about it.
- shinythingy, on 05/27/2008, -2/+3make a better game?
- carlosgames, on 05/27/2008, -2/+3what about not buying bad games?
- sovietninja, on 05/27/2008, -0/+3No. Aplmf is right, it's a difficult choice to say "well we went over our graphical budget, after spending millions on the art. Let's release our game with the graphical complexity of Turning Point: Fall of Libery. Make sure it runs at 60 fps."
I prefer some slowdown, as long as it looks" teh awesome".
- drlha, on 05/27/2008, -0/+20Yes, but GTA4 doesn't require split second precision in combat like Ninja Gaiden does.
- CiXeL, on 05/27/2008, -6/+2of course not, NG2 is a sidescroller
- mustafya, on 05/27/2008, -9/+4Interesting, I'm about halfway done with GTAIV and haven't noticed any slowdown on my 360. Could you perhaps provide some type of source?
- Evi1d33d, on 05/27/2008, -0/+10He said multiplayer.
- mustafya, on 05/27/2008, -1/+2Ah, bad reading comprehension ftl. I don't do multiplayer much on 360 so that would explain why I missed it.
- Sairgem, on 05/27/2008, -1/+3I've played probably 6-7 hours of gta4 multiplayer and noticed no more slowdown than in single player. Something is either wrong with his disc or 360.
- EvilFerret, on 05/27/2008, -0/+3I've never encountered slowdown in GTAIV multiplayer. I'm sure it's not running at a steady 60FPS, but it definitely isn't 15FPS 50% of the time.
- wild, on 05/27/2008, -0/+5That doesn;t negate the request for a source on "50% of the time."
I have only had a couple of hiccups in multiplayer, and that was when there were 6 or 7 explosions on-screen.- wedges, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2maybe you're not blowing enough ***** up

- Xplodzion, on 05/27/2008, -5/+1Sorry, what?
My PC has never crashed in any game and I have had it for 3 years, not only that, I have not had any FPS issues with my games, which is more than I can say for the Xbox 360, the thing crashed on Halo 3 for me twice and had slowdown with explosions.
Maybe you should stop downloading tons of Spyware and Trojans?
- Xplodzion, on 05/27/2008, -5/+1Sorry, what?

- Nath4n, on 05/27/2008, -2/+14Eurogamer review:
http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=14 ...
"What aren't a matter of opinion, however, are the technical flaws. Frame-rate is a persistent issue, and while a little slowdown can actually look quite cool in places, it's not so great when it prevents you from pulling off a move in combat or just makes the whole display laggy. This is especially noticeable if you're running in 1080p - we had to drop our 360's display back to 1080i to get the game to run at an acceptable frame-rate, and this on a brand new 360 running a boxed copy of the PAL release."- soot, on 05/27/2008, -0/+3...So does this mean for once I'm not going to be punished for playing on a ***** 480p standard def?
- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+0This makes me sad. If it's that bad, then it's a pretty serious issue. NG is a pretty hard core action game and slowdown would kill the experience. If I die because I just didn't fight that well then I can deal with that. If I die because the Camera is glitching out, or the framerate drops so much that the combo doesn't register, then I just feel angry and cheated. I'm really hoping this isn't the case, and am kind of surprised that I hadn't read of it in the other reviews.
- frygar, on 05/27/2008, -6/+6They should've worked on it more, I don't see why this couldn't have been as good as NG Black or Sigma.

Epic lulz. Better luck next time, Redmond. I don't think you'll be stealing any of Kojima's thunder with this diamond, er, zironium of yours.

- wild, on 05/27/2008, -2/+4I am sorry to hear the technical issues are interfering with the game.
Usually I don;t care if there is slowdown or loading screens. GTA 4 and Mass Effect had technical issues that never took away from the gameplay, so they were forgivable. This sounds pretty rough.- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+0I'd agree with you on GTA, but Mass Effect was annoying. Sometimes a I'd watch an entire cutscene where none of the characters fully rendered until the scene was a second from ending. It didn't make it harder to play, but the texture pop in really ruined my enjoyment because it was so prevalent.
- frygar, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1Zirconium. Fake diamond. My bad on the misspelling.
- mattyice11, on 05/27/2008, -4/+1This is an interesting choice of headline considering the reviewer never mentions frame rate problems in the review - only as a bullet point. Anyway, as much as I loved the original, I'm not really into the insane difficulty level anymore and will probably pass on this until it hits bargain bin prices.
- retawd, on 05/27/2008, -8/+2Ninja Gaiden for VC doesn't have any framerate problems...
- soot, on 05/27/2008, -1/+6Bummer! I totally fell in love with the original Ninja Gaiden when I played it. I must have finished it two or three times, and then went out and bought NG: Black so I could beat it again. I think it really is one of the flawless, genuinely fun hack-and-slash fighter games out there.
I was *really* excited for NG2 until I started checking out some of the reviews and hearing about the problems its having. I hope Itagaki goes back on his word not to tweak and rerelease it like they did with the first one. Team Ninja isn't known for leaving their games plagued with technical issues, but I'm sort of pissed that they tapped Microsoft to publish this thing because you can be near-certain this boils down to a classic case of timeframe crush. - CiXeL, on 05/27/2008, -1/+4The dark sword of chaos rocks!
and those cut scenes are so state of the art! - mrbroli, on 05/27/2008, -11/+15Old news... Ninja Gaiden II is 18 years old this month. Why is this on the front page of Digg?
- FecalHurler, on 05/27/2008, -1/+6Terrible joke. But out of pity, I dugg you.
- ChinezePanda, on 05/27/2008, -2/+11Ninja Gaiden gets to the point where its so aggravating its almost unplayable.
NG will not steel ANY of MGS4's thunder.. basically cause well... its a 360 game and MGS4 is on PS3.
Granted I am a multiplatform gamer, but the two audiences are not the same.
NG is a rent from gamefly for me.- popfrogs, on 05/27/2008, -2/+5No *****, it's pretty obvious to me that NG2 shouldn't be considered an MGS4 competitor, they're not even in the same space. One is a crazy hard slash-em-up with crazy Kill Bill blood effects, the other is a stealthy sneaky game with a heavy narrative.
Then again, Microsoft really doesn't have anything great on the table this year...they blew their wad last year.- ChinezePanda, on 05/27/2008, -2/+4yes they did. been playing a ***** of nothing on my 360.
- staticneuron, on 05/28/2008, -0/+3Granted I am looking forward to some of the PS3's heavy hitters, there are some good titles coming out for the 360 in the months to come.
- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+0What does the PS3 have on the table other then MGS4? As far as exclusives go it's been a pretty typical spring (except for some amazing 3rd party releases) with a bit of a drought. I love my PS3, but honestly when talking about a lack of games, the 360 isn't the system to point fingers at. Especially since this fall has a decent slew of first party titles coming to it.
- LogicBomB, on 05/28/2008, -0/+1It has more to do with getting NGII's hype up at the same time as MGS4 to try and drown out MGS4 into the white noise. Doesn't matter if it's a similar game or on another system at all. They just want 360 to show up in the news and on forums more than PS3. It's marketing.
- popfrogs, on 05/27/2008, -2/+5No *****, it's pretty obvious to me that NG2 shouldn't be considered an MGS4 competitor, they're not even in the same space. One is a crazy hard slash-em-up with crazy Kill Bill blood effects, the other is a stealthy sneaky game with a heavy narrative.

- exomni, on 05/27/2008, -3/+2I always get a headache whenever someone calls Ninja Gaiden hard. Sure, the first three NES ones were brutal, but Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox was an absolute cakewalk. There are so many harder games, and games harder by many factors of ten, calling Ninja Gaiden difficult is like calling a banana "hard".

- Tigergrape, on 05/27/2008, -2/+3never heard of a patch?
Framerate issues are nothing. if it was crashing, you'd really REALLY have something to moan about. - exomni, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1Hopefully they'll patch the PAL version up soon. Ninja Gaiden is supposed to be so fast, framerate issues would definitely kill it.
- jonasblue, on 05/27/2008, -3/+1Odd. Why would it have frame rate issues. Didn't this game come out like 20 years ago?
- choppa1890, on 05/27/2008, -1/+1It's ninja gaiden II, smart-one.
- Jassman, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2It's the second Ninja Gaiden II ever released. I think he's jokingly referring the the NES version Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos
- Rodman930, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1I see what you did there.
- choppa1890, on 05/27/2008, -1/+1It's ninja gaiden II, smart-one.
- diggdiggerid, on 05/27/2008, -2/+3I don't get all the camera hate; the only place I ever had a problem with the camera in NG/NGB/Sigma was going down Han's bar right after getting the Lily Key.
edit: When they talk about a frame rate DROP they mean a drop from 60fps to I guess 30fps or so. That is still absolutely playable.- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+0A prominent camera hating spot in the game is right near where you fight the giant dragon skeleton (the one where you bring it to life with the grail.) the room just below that with the bats and a bunch of ledges is really cramped and the camera always goes crazy on me in there. It'll take a strange angle suddenly and then you end up jumping to the wrong spot. It's nothing all that painful, but nonetheless annoying to instantly go from 'super ninja' to 'kid that rides the short bus and runs into walls.'
- cjacks9, on 05/27/2008, -1/+1Still looking forward to this game. Too similar to the first game? I'll get over it. Ridiculously hard? I need some fun stress in my life (Alma, come back to us). Either way, as with all things, we'll show up and see what happens come release day.
- Insanitation, on 05/27/2008, -2/+1Back in the day i dont remeber anyone complaining when mario had to many mobs on the screen and it slowed down the FPS...why is it such a big deal now? its still playable....
- Jassman, on 05/27/2008, -1/+3Because it's a mark of bad game design, similar to leaving a boom mic in a shot for a major-motion picture. Seeing the limitations of the system used to create the game or movie ruins the suspension of disbelief experienced when playing or viewing.
- apoc06, on 05/27/2008, -1/+2what was perfectly tolerable and acceptable 20+ years ago is not acceptable anymore.
20 years ago you could blame it on the hardware, now consoles have more processing power and ram than most of the computers being used to surf digg. its not acceptable, considering that with slightly more time they could have ironed out these kinds of kinks.
we paid a premium to buy these "next-gen" consoles. that premium was supposed to provide enhanced video, sound, multimedia capabilities and processing power. its unacceptable for a second or first party game to renege on what was promised, and should thusly be judged harder.- Insanitation, on 05/28/2008, -1/+1Back when SNES was first out it was considered "next-gen" And we did pay a premium price for it (close to $300 if i remeber right) It was supposed to provide enhanced video, sound and processing power. So why is it different now? Nobody complained back then. Now everybody just wines and complains. If you think it sux so bad. Lets see you come up with something better. If you dont like it then dont buy it and STFU.
- apoc06, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2people DID complain back then. remember the "blast-processing" ad- war? basically all that amounted to was the fact that the genesis had a faster processor and rendered scenes much faster w less slowdown.
by the end of the NES's lifetime, games were pushing well beyond the level of game that the system was built to accommodate. a multitude of tricks were being used to siphon extra power out of the box like displaying more colors than allowed, scrolling tricks, transparency tricks, etc...
a premium was paid to overcome the deficiencies of the previous generation. the SNES's main [technical] selling points were better sound, more on screen colors, multi-tiered background scrolling, and transparency effects.
back when games were composed of mainly 2d sprites, framerates were not an issue until you had too much action on screen. with todays 3d environments, nearly everything has to be rendered simultaneously, so theres always "too much action" going on in the background. each generation has its weaknesses, and the next generation is "supposed" to fix them as an incentive to upgrade.
last generation consoles suffered from poor physics, dumb AI, aliasing, framerate issues, bad camera work, etc. so you would think that this generation our premium would cover the issues that we have had from the previous generation, right? no! none of the companies have done anything except feed us what they want us to have. i appreciate the advent of online gaming, hd gaming, multimedia capabilities, wireless network adapters and wireless controllers. all that is great but.... games still suffer from choppy framerates, have jaggies, and most AI is still dumb. maybe there is hope in terms of physics, but if we dont complain about such things, we will still have issues w anti-aliasing and framerates for another 11 years from now. - Insanitation, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2Touché
- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1I think the real difference is the advent of the internet. Haters have always been there, it's just now you get to see their opinions plastered all over internet boards. I agree that it's lame though.

- modifiedbears, on 05/27/2008, -1/+3Most of the people bitching here probably returned the first one because they found it too hard. I'm getting sick and tired of having to play dumbed down games because of you people. Go play something turn based.
- SSCrow, on 05/27/2008, -1/+3Ninja Gaiden 2 is still going to kickass. so I really don't care if it has some framerate issues.
And the Camera is the same from the first, which I got very used to.- Jassman, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1The camera from the first one really wasn't that bad at all. It was definitely one of the Xbox's best games.
- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+0Perhaps I'm remembering it wrong, but didn't the original game on the xbox (not black) have a static camera? I seem to remember that you could nudge it with the right stick but that it didn't have a camera that was completely controlled with the right stick. I believe NG:black pegged that as one of it's new features, that you could now completely control the camera. Shame that they haven't allowed players to toggle on a computer controlled camer if they wish. I'm of the opinion that with fast paced brawlers a computer controlled or static camera is the way to go, like in GOW. The last thing I want to have to focus on when I'm surrounded by enemies is fixing the camera in a good spot.
- jesushitler, on 05/27/2008, -1/+3most of the people talking ***** here probably have no interest in playing the game anyway. just more fanboy *****. i'll reserve judgment for the game till i actually play it. who knows, there could be a patch the day it comes out that takes care of all these problems anyway. from all the HD videos of the game I have watched so far, the game looks fantastic.
- ociris, on 05/27/2008, -3/+1NG2 is going to be awesome. Why all the hate? Just cuz sony diehards can't play it doesnt mean its a bad game. Get over yourself sony fanboys. You'll have something to play with come MGS4. No need to hate on the best action game ever created since the original NG from XBox.
PS. I have all NG games from original, black and even Sigma. So far Sigma is all i really like to play on my PS3...
PPS. Heavenly Sword (which i have) sucked compared to NG
PPPS. Im getting MGS4 when it comes out. Notice how i didnt spew MS hate when i say that...- Gogogo111, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE
- AZRoboto, on 05/27/2008, -2/+2Framerate issues on a game that's almost always 60fps? Non Issue. What about GTA IV? Does it ever even reach 30? I know it'll go down to 10 in every fight, that's for sure.
By the way, how does this get to the front page with a title like that? Why not just post "Ninja Gaiden 2 Review"? He doesn't even mention the occasional slowdown in the review; it's nothing more than a bullet point at the end! - highlyhigh, on 05/27/2008, -4/+0america aint the number one country anymore.
- jesushitler, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2care to elaborate?
- ociris, on 05/27/2008, -1/+1We did????
Did the russians beat us in the space program again? As far as i know we just landed another rover in mars two days ago....
I hope your talking about the US being #1 on having the most overweight people. Thats certainly good news if thats the case....
Maybe your talking about the Sony Walkman beating the I-Pod....
Or maybe, your talking about the console race... Has the PS3 overtaken the millions of 360 install base...
Hmmmm.... not sure which your talking about? Could you indulge us and try to expand your anti-american feelings....
Otherwise STFU dingwad - Vash3001, on 05/27/2008, -2/+2Who has the most power? America
Who has the best Technology? America
Which country is the best? America
Damn California hippie GTFO out of my country, asshat.
- jeepgun, on 05/27/2008, -0/+0For me this is good news. Now when I die due to lack of skill instead of blaming it on the controller I can blame it on the frame rate, huzzah!
- Dracusis, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1NG Sigma seems to run great on the PS3, which only highlights how annoying it must be for developers to have to move to and from all of these different platforms. You'd think after a years or two most of the things like a steady frame-rate wouldn't be be an issue any longer.
I'm starting to think this generation of consoles shouldn't have been HD, they clearly can't handle it too well, despite loving my HDTV, I think I would have preferred if all of the consoles were upscaled SD with 60+ FPS and lots of AA.- doubledmateo, on 05/31/2008, -0/+0Framerate issues are really annoying for me too. I hate how the industry has to push every game to the graphical limit to keep afloat among the competition and the framerate usually suffers. That's not to say that HD gaming isn't possible with a good frame rate though. COD4, DMC4 and quite a few games look fantastic and rarely, if ever, suffer from slowdown, so it can be done. Developers just need to be willing to dial back the number of polygons they push and substitute with better art direction. Fast frame rate makes a game 10 times more enjoyable for me.
- benitojuarez, on 05/28/2008, -0/+2Maybe they should try blowing in the NES's cartridge slot then.
- vertice, on 05/28/2008, -0/+1Most reviews i've read said that if you loved the previous one you'll love this one.
So i'm most definitely going to love it =) - smackafiyah, on 05/28/2008, -0/+1Who knows, might be fixed by some kind of patch later down the line, either way its not gonna stop me from getting this.
- Barnolde, on 05/28/2008, -0/+1Thank you core pack.
- DewCrew88, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Absolutely unacceptable. How many games are going to keep getting rushed and come out like absolute *****?? Way to many games lately have framerate issues all of a sudden, this never used to happen on consoles. Also im getting sick of games that come out and play like *****, it really isnt so hard to beta these things, I mean look at all the good it did for COD4 and Halo3.
