That was the ultimate betrayal. - Ohnodonho, on 04/15/2008, -0/+33I'm sure the guy who made the video didn't particulary care about showing the turret kill either. But showing it, is what gives the video more purpose by showing the player's viewpoint. Safely escaping and killing the enemy only to experience a random warthog rape adds a dramatic element to the video thereby emphasising the total randomness of it all. Also, the reason he kept the scene in which the player moves behind a rock is because editing the video to skip directly to the text displaying "betrayal" would make it feel misplaced. In fact, the only reason it is there at all is just to show that is was a betrayal. Otherwise, it would have been just a dude being hit by a warthog which is not particularly as interesting without the set-up of what is happening.
