But showing it, is what gives the video more purpose by showing the player's viewpoint. Safely escaping and killing the enemy only to experience a random warthog rape adds a dramatic element to the video thereby emphasising the total randomness of it all. Also, the reason he kept the scene in which the player moves behind a rock is because editing the video to skip directly to the text displaying "betrayal" would make it feel misplaced. In fact, the only reason it is there at all is just to show that is was a betrayal. Otherwise, it would have been just a dude being hit by a warthog which is not particularly as interesting without the set-up of what is happening.

Works great for "Where in the hell does that guy keep sniping me from?" You can also lock to a player so it just follows them around automatically. It's one of the features Halo 3 really deserves kudos for. Combine it with a video capture card and crappy video editing software of your choice, and you too can play director.

      I fail to see how improving one's own value to humanity is a negative thing. Furthermore, you used the word incorrectly. You should have said "gamer".
