- Matt174e, on 04/24/2008, -1/+18I think they need to talk to each other about GETTING ***** GOLDENEYE 64 on XBLA.
- lucidguru, on 04/24/2008, -7/+22The Wii without the novelty of the remote = old system with sub-par games.
- YuriSakazaki, on 04/24/2008, -1/+14Wow, a PC Gaming company took things from that industry and introduced them to consoles? For shame!
- KingGoonie, on 04/24/2008, -6/+17Because Rare has been awesome since leaving Nintendo...
Oh wait. - 1807, on 04/24/2008, -2/+11Well all I can say is Nintendo better hope that x-box doesn't create a motion sensing device better than the Wiimote because if that happens, I'm selling my Wii. It's really the ONLY reason I bought one.
- AzzX, on 04/24/2008, -2/+11Rare Nintendo era was great.
- breathofwater, on 04/24/2008, -7/+13mario galaxy, legend of zelda twilight princess, smash bros brawl and mario kart four of the highest rated and best selling games on this generation. All of these either can or would work fine with a traditional controller.
- Murdats, on 04/24/2008, -0/+6so a company who makes the sole platform for games decides to make a console, and guess what? they decide to do the same on their console.
unless you are talking about the games themselves, in which case microsoft doesnt make many, are you complaining that the companies who make PC games use the same innovations for their console version?
either way, your name belies your idiodicy. - frygar, on 04/24/2008, -2/+7It's called "Banjo Galaxy."
- Dundasbro, on 04/24/2008, -1/+6It isn't called Banjo Threeie is it...?
- Arkz, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3Probably not its just a way of referring to it
- DaHuuuuuudge, on 04/24/2008, -2/+5The second game was called Banjo Tooie because that rhymes with Banjo Kazooie. Saying Banjo Threeie is just...stupid.
- nobelief, on 04/24/2008, -2/+5Halo 3 was a great game. Only ignorant gamers who rode the hate bandwagon claim that it sucks.
- gwolf, on 04/25/2008, -0/+2Nice cherry picking. Either stick to the numbers or your opinions.
- Chirp08, on 04/24/2008, -1/+3I literally planned to type that exactly word for word including those caps :|
- zanderw00t, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2Okay, play the ***** games.
- PatoLucas, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2J Allard is working with the Zune since more than a year ago. Please check your facts before trolling.
- gordmoo, on 04/24/2008, -3/+5imitation is the highest form of flattery
- KingGoonie, on 04/24/2008, -6/+8He has no proof because its a lie. Bioshock didn't sell more then any of those games, though it is a great game. Gears of War didn't sell more then any of them either... and that game pretty much sucks. Halo 3 sold more because of hypnotized 12 year olds, its one of the most overrated franchises in history. COD4 is awesome, but it is on multiple systems (including DS and PSP) So while its selling huge, I duno if it has sold more then most of those Nintendo games if you limit it to just the 360 (which I assume is where most of its sales came from)
And as far as subparg games.... you might wanna check average reviews. Wii has almost the same abount of exclusive 90+ games as the 360, which has a year had start. And PS3 doesnt' even have ANY exclusive 90+ games yet. . - Sethbacca, on 04/24/2008, -2/+4Apparently you haven't been around for the last 4 console generations. Other than the Gamecube, all of the other companies have stolen their controller design (for the most part) from Nintendo. So while the Wii is weak graphically, and other companies are copying the wiimote control scheme, you can count on Nintendo not resting on their laurels and innovating in the next "next gen" systems. Besides the Wii and DS are practically ***** money printers, I would be very disappointed if they don't have a system graphically on par with the xbox 720 or ps4 that also has an innovative control interface, that said, I am disappointed in my Wii purchase thus far. 90% shovelware and 2% first party gems, and 8% thrown together party games. It really only comes out during parties at this point.
- SteveMax, on 04/24/2008, -1/+3Actually, it would be more like:
Step 1: Copy the Wii remote
Step 2: ???????
Step 3: Profit!
Learn your Internet memes before using them. - Dundasbro, on 04/25/2008, -0/+1No, he is right, Banjo Theeie sounds completely stupid and doesn't flow the same as Tooie does. The T is Tooie corresponds with the Z in Kazooie, Threeie doesn't have a corresponding sound.
- YuriSakazaki, on 04/24/2008, -7/+8Gears of War, Halo 3, COD 4, and Bioshock outsold all of those without a bag waggle gimmick.
- wageslaven, on 04/24/2008, -2/+3Someone hasnt played Kameo or Viva Pinata.
- krakelohm, on 04/24/2008, -0/+1Better hardware? I will give you better graphics but 'better' and 'hardware' should not be in the same sentence unless there is a 'then' between them when discussing the 360.
- wageslaven, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2I dont think FPS games age as well as some other genres frankly. I played and loved Goldeneye in its day, but I believe its ok not having it frankly.
That said, if it comes out, I'll probably buy it. :) - tewcewl, on 04/24/2008, -0/+1The Conker franchise?
WHAT franchise? IIRC, there was the excellent Conker's BFD for the N64 which was retrofitted in a multiplayer for XBOX when Microsoft acquired RARE.
So, how can they be sick of it? - sodade, on 04/24/2008, -2/+3Lol - I was thinking that all of these names sound ***** silly.
- plnegative1, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2Make a new Donkey Kong
- wageslaven, on 04/24/2008, -2/+2Twooie = Two + ie
Threeie = Three + ie
Dont be a tool. - wageslaven, on 04/24/2008, -9/+9"Banjo 3, about which the whole team is enormously excited. "Don't expect a traditional platformer," promises the source, "We've gone away and invented a game mechanic that's never been in any game before."
That is *exactly* what I needed to hear. Im pumped for Banjo Threeie, I wish they'd give a little more information. But, I'll settle for "new game mechanic" and wait patiently I guess. - farfromsubtl, on 04/24/2008, -1/+1Yup, I would like to see some proof of that.
- 1807, on 04/24/2008, -1/+1I really am starting to think that Nintendo was simply trying to make a statement when they made the Wii, more than they cared about their gamers. I think they were trying to show the public it wasn't about graphics and processing power, it was about usability and creating an original game experience for the casual gamer. I think this was probably an idea that sounded a lot better on paper than it did in physical product. I mean, sure it's great that they can compete with other game systems without stellar online gaming, High definition graphics (480p barely counts as high def.) or a hulking list of popular titles, but at the same time, I think for myself, the nostalgia wore off very quickly because I keep my gaming life and party life separate and because anyone who knows about college and young adult parties knows it's best to have them at other people's houses than host them yourself. Also, I really don't believe the Wii was targeted at me, the 20 something gamer who loves first person shooters, Quintin Tarentino and Led Zeppelin and has been gaming since Mario was 8-bit. Thank god for my 360, without that, I would think I was starting to get too old to game.

- and303, on 04/24/2008, -3/+2Proof?
- insanewriters, on 04/24/2008, -3/+2Why did they make its code-name a failed Apple product?
- PogMaHoin, on 04/24/2008, -4/+3Whats yer point there?
The Playstation without a controller = sub par DVD player
The PC without a keyboard = space heater - tehHardcorez, on 04/24/2008, -3/+2Ok? So while Nintendo feels good about having their controller imitated, Microsoft cleans up shop in sales because now they have everything Wii has + better hardware....?
- Jenadae, on 04/24/2008, -4/+3It would be everything but dumb for Sony and Microsoft to create their own versions of the wii-mote. The Wii is a weak contender in power terms and the gimmick that makes it successful can easily be applied to any console while offering similar gaming experience with better graphic potential and the possibility of more content per game(as the wii uses normal DVDs). But this is of course if they do it right and not fail like most non-standard controllers do.
- wageslaven, on 04/24/2008, -3/+1If it were, would it be a "game mechanic never seen in any game before"? No.
- OverZealousHobo, on 04/24/2008, -2/+0no

- makkaveli19, on 04/24/2008, -4/+1sony announced this a looong time ago. i think it was around their release. it wasn't official but kaz said they are thinking about something just like the wiimote
- screwy3333, on 04/24/2008, -6/+1Step 1: Wii Remote
Step 2: 1998 Hewlett Packard running ripped Ubuntu with an external Zip Drive
Step 3: Broken Nintendo engineer or entry-level NURV programmer
Step 4: profit
