- kurupttek, on 05/23/2008, -30/+106***** think Sucks!
- Beatlemaniac, on 05/23/2008, -2/+73As ***** as this is, apparently they're finally fixing the DRM, so there's at least something else to look forward for.
http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/22/xbox-com-tool-to ... - w3v3, on 05/23/2008, -2/+60***** IT! WE'LL DO IT LIVE!
- NipGrip, on 05/23/2008, -6/+58I wonder how they plan to address the issue of getting titles you've paid for once they pull them in case your HD dies? Will you be able to redownload them even though they don't appear on the Marketplace?
- Briii, on 05/23/2008, -12/+52***** THINK sucks?
Think?
btw there is also no subject to your sentence - BetterThanYou, on 05/23/2008, -1/+36They won't do it on LIVE!!
- klick37, on 05/23/2008, -1/+34We still have to wait for things to scroll on the marketplace now?
- xino, on 05/23/2008, -1/+30I am not sure why you got dugg down. It's a good question that hasn't been answered from a credible source.
- Disgod, on 05/23/2008, -1/+25First of all kiss my ass. Second Thanks for the link. Third The drive started acting up a long time ago, within a year and a half of buying the Xbox, just outside of the warranty, it would make loud wirring noises. And I'm sorry but a CDROM drive isn't some new magical technology, if they can't manage to make a CDROM Drive that can last for 5 years they're the ones with the issue. I didn't have the Xbox in an dusty area or too hot
- m00nstone, on 05/23/2008, -3/+27"Underperforming XBLA titles will be delisted"
Wow! Removing games. Why? I don't see how this benefits anyone but Microsoft. I would see the online experience as a forum to immortalize all games, or at least have all XBLA titles available for the life cycle of the console.
This is really sad. Abandoning titles that aren't even 3 years old. For what purpose, clear up disc space?! - ericd, on 05/23/2008, -3/+26They should really considering allowing the HD-DVD drive to be used to play games instead of the internal drive. It would allow all of the users with broken drives to continue using their 360 without having to pay for a repair for out of warranty consoles, and Microsoft would be putting those obsolete HD-DVD drives to very good use. Even if you never watch an HD-DVD with it, at $49 it is cheaper than a replacement drive.
- Pillage, on 05/23/2008, -9/+31Then what the ***** am I paying for?
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -8/+28mother *****
- thatsmyaibo, on 05/23/2008, -9/+28The ability to host your own game without dedicated servers...Oh, and they also show you things you can buy from their store on the internet you pay for.
Don't get me wrong but I love my 360 but the Live really isn't a justified service. - WhereAmI, on 05/23/2008, -1/+19FTA:
"Sad news today for those among you that love ... functionality, as Microsoft's Xbox Live manager Marc Whitten revealed to Next Gen that there would be no spring dashboard update this year, debunking this rumor that circulated earlier this month. Whitten said that Microsoft instead focused on "building the proper infrastructure and scale for the service."" - HeatVision, on 05/23/2008, -3/+21It's from "Bill O'Reilly Flips Out"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tJjNVVwRCY - Morphine7399, on 05/23/2008, -0/+17Have you ever used xbox live before? I can only assume you haven't, judging by the way you describe it. First of all, in every xbox live enabled game I have played, you can form a party of friends prior to the game beginning and talk to as many people as are allowed in a chat (up to 16 in some games), including in-game play. When people say you can only chat with one person at a time, they mean you can only private chat (across different games) with one person at a time. When you are actually playing with the people however you can talk with large groups of friends.
- jjpertusch, on 05/23/2008, -0/+15you can stream music off of an ipod.
- SteelFrog, on 05/23/2008, -1/+15All capital letters? Check.
Improper grammar; spelling 'you' as 'u'? Check.
Derogatory terms? Check.
You missed the multiple exclamation marks, but I'll let it slide this time.
...are you sure you're not an XBOX Live user? - EvilCan, on 05/23/2008, -1/+14How does it serve them right?
- Matteo, on 05/23/2008, -0/+13And after the next dashboard update, Sting will play us out.
- Ryan2845, on 05/23/2008, -0/+12Yes, download and burn the update to a cd. See this page.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox36 ... - Newedge14, on 05/23/2008, -3/+15No problem ever, and I had one from the launch
- mixomatosys, on 05/23/2008, -5/+17bought my 360 on launch day, have had to send it in three times since then.
- Tob3z, on 05/23/2008, -3/+14I would take it back to the store you bought it from and tell them you would like a 360 with a DVD ROM drive. I don't know how you ever managed to play games on it with a CD ROM drive.
- magicjames92, on 05/23/2008, -5/+15That Sucks.
- Xanium4332, on 05/23/2008, -1/+10*cough* Red Ring of Death *cough*
- Tob3z, on 05/23/2008, -0/+9lol. Yeah that was one thing from the list of rumoured updates I was looking forward to. Being able to use the right thumb stick to scroll the text.
- ultrafez, on 05/23/2008, -2/+11Why is he being dugg down? Is he not making a perfectly legitimate comment?
- Aroundtheworls, on 05/23/2008, -1/+9Finally! Hope the fix not only works on new downloads but also addresses those of us with broken XBLA games that can't be played due to having had to change to a new Xbox system.
- xino, on 05/23/2008, -1/+9We are also a couple months away from the end of summer and a summer update wouldn't have to be in the very beginning of summer. I am not expecting a summer update though. I am guessing it will be fall.
- arcticblue, on 05/23/2008, -1/+9I keep seeing that. Can someone tell me where it came from?
- Ev3nt372, on 05/23/2008, -0/+8All I know is that they better be beefing up the servers for that multi-user chat!
- SpectreFire, on 05/23/2008, -3/+11WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!!
- orlyfactor, on 05/23/2008, -0/+8True, but it's not like these games are taking up valuable shelf space that could be used by another product. It's just sitting on some server somewhere, and to be honest, these games cannot take up a lot of space, seeing as most people only have a 20GB hdd in their 360. Why not just leave them there, unless they think the marketplace is too crowded with crap. Then, they should learn to organize it better.
- bigbadgoat, on 05/23/2008, -4/+11I am an engineer. Seriously. I'm a computer engineer that develops controlling software for multi-million dollar ship simulators.
And I say...
"***** you". - xino, on 05/23/2008, -0/+7I've thought about that too, but it is definitely possible that you won't be able to do that once they remove it. It could go the other way as well also so we'll have to wait and see.
- SaladCactusKing, on 05/23/2008, -3/+10Blah. The Xbox marketplace has been a ghost town lately. Very few demos and more Ace Combat planes, yay... :/
oh, and Homey Spumoni with Donald Faizon (He's black, but he's italian! WACKY!) - inactive, on 05/23/2008, -0/+6You actually wanted to watch someone play for a full hour before buying it?
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -5/+11Cue Newedge14's RRoD in 3... 2... 1...
- zMastaa, on 05/23/2008, -0/+6Cant u just go to "Download History" thats how i use to do it
- pharekyz, on 05/23/2008, -2/+8"Screw Microsoft. I'll write it and we'll do it live!!"
- Disgod, on 05/23/2008, -10/+16I'm really pissed off at Microsoft right now. My Xbox's CDROM died today. I miss the days when Microsoft actually made a decent product. If anybody knows how to replace an Xbox CDROM I'd love to know about it.
- afx1, on 05/23/2008, -3/+9"No, there is a Spring Update. The headline is false."
so what's in the spring dashboard update? and why does my arm hurt when i turn it like this? - rufo, on 05/23/2008, -0/+5Not possible. Xbox discs require a specially modified DVD drive that spins the disc in the opposite direction - the HD-DVD drive in the add-on can't do that.
- Protoss, on 05/23/2008, -0/+5Software doesn't just gain bugs...Bugs get discovered.
- l800LEMMINGS, on 05/23/2008, -2/+7i want folding at home microsoft was bragging how their gpu could process more then ps3 lets see it
- sleepwalkers, on 05/23/2008, -0/+5Games.
Nah, just kidding. He bought a 360 because he obviously felt like he'd enjoy the system more. He wasn't asking for your opinion, just asking for a bit of help. - inspecality, on 05/23/2008, -10/+15We don't agree with you, so we are obviously idiots.
