- inactive, on 03/31/2008, -3/+39By the way... a producers job is to find movies that will turn a profit. And as juvenile and stupid as those spoof movies are, they are VERY profitable. Scary Movie had a $19 million budget, and made over a quarter billion worldwide! So in reality, he is a very good producer. He makes movies for peanuts that make tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars.
- inactive, on 03/31/2008, -8/+41If anyone knows about being the worst, it is gizmodo.
- badwithcomputer, on 03/31/2008, -2/+23the first scary movie was a classic. the second scary movie was alright (it had its moments). everything after that has been the kind of ***** i wouldn't wish on my worst enemies.
- rjc5056, on 03/31/2008, -1/+20I know anyone can join digg, but honestly, if you truly believe Meet The Spartans and its ilk are "funny movies"... why the ever-loving ***** would you come here?
- rodrigo74, on 03/31/2008, -4/+19Who cares about XBox Live Shows, anyway?
- kjcdude, on 03/31/2008, -0/+11http://imdb.com/name/nm0755911/filmorate
His best movie has a 5.99 - rcblinker, on 03/31/2008, -1/+10What a joke.
- MagicSG1, on 03/31/2008, -0/+9Em yeah bud, no no meet the spartans is the worst movie ever
- UrlorJkron, on 03/31/2008, -4/+13"Apparently, Microsoft and Safran think that Xbox Live video users are retards with short attention span problems."
Halo 3 seems to have done pretty well. - supermanred, on 03/31/2008, -2/+11What? I liked Rocketman.
Could be worse, could have been Uwe Bol? - Ocelot13, on 03/31/2008, -0/+8since they have a producer...they need a director....
im voting Uwe Boll. who's with me? - yunus, on 03/31/2008, -0/+8They could have hired Roosterteeth (makers of Red Vs Blue) and made everyone happy and probably save themselves some money too.
- Wolfbeta, on 03/31/2008, -0/+8http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/meet_the_spartans/
His best movie has a 2% - supermanred, on 03/31/2008, -0/+7Im on Xbox Live almost nightly and I have to ask... What in the good ***** is an Xbox live show?
- Harbinger67, on 03/31/2008, -1/+6Agreed. Has the author ever PLAYED on xbox live?
- ZombieSociety, on 03/31/2008, -3/+8Buried for trashing Rocketman. Rocketman was fantastic.
- buddamus, on 03/31/2008, -1/+6I saw Meet The Spartans, what a pile of crap, films like that will never be as good as Airplane
- jun2san, on 03/31/2008, -2/+6damn....stalker.
- saxreturns, on 03/31/2008, -2/+6There are ads on that page? Oh right, only for you...
- Holle, on 03/31/2008, -0/+3I am serious… and don’t call me Shirley.
- theaceoffire, on 03/31/2008, -1/+4See, the funny part is that if you had stopped after the first two words, some people might have dugg you up.
You had to actually go out of your way to be jerk enough for everyone to hate ya. - saxreturns, on 03/31/2008, -1/+4That wasn't my point at all. Just being smug about having AdBlock, if you don't mind!
As it happens, I'm looking at this page in Firefox, on a Mac. I'm not an idiot. - fkr3, on 03/31/2008, -5/+82 things:
1. I don't care. Gizmodo, all the blogs on their network and every other blog that follows the "summarise someone else, stick ads all around it and submit to digg" model are spam 2.0.
2. You can get medicine for your short attention span. Or reading lessons so you don't fear a couple-hundred word articles. - Hotrox, on 03/31/2008, -1/+4Don't you understand that by having seen Meet The Spartans you've only perpetuated the problem? Even if you pirated it you've still seen it. May god have mercy on your soul.
- Sandurz, on 03/31/2008, -2/+5Hey, I liked Rocketman.
And I wish I why. - Aitese, on 03/31/2008, -0/+3Why do you use Digg? You don't like a site where news from a third party is summarized with a link to the original story and then that summary is surrounded with adverts?
Strange behavior considering where you are right now. - 33PercentGod, on 03/31/2008, -0/+2Rocketman was some funny stuff. The rest...not so much.
- theaceoffire, on 03/31/2008, -1/+3O.o he compliments Halo 3 and you call him a gay console owner?
People like you are the reason I mute multiplayer. - JGib, on 03/31/2008, -0/+2Surely you cant be serious?
- thedpshow, on 04/01/2008, -0/+2I happen to like RocketMan.
- Aitese, on 03/31/2008, -2/+4Yeah...how DARE Gizmodo show you news from various sources on their website and have the sheer gall to LINK to that source. It's almost as if they assume their readers would be interested in the news. I'm glad Digg doesn't do anything like that...hold on
- AlucardX24, on 03/31/2008, -2/+4Hey. I LIKED Rocketman. >.>;
- RevoFM, on 04/14/2008, -0/+1Fresh from Myspace, are ya?
- turboblake, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1I'm going to agree that this guy puts out some of the biggest crap in Hollywood, but its a smart call for Microsoft. The movies and shows he produces do very well with the demographic of young, stupid and horny teenage boys, and it you haven't noticed yet xbox live is a breeding ground for that demographic. Whatever they produce together with be trash, but sadly it will be trash that cashes in big time.
- fkr3, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1Gizmodo are a redundant middleman except unlike the traditional middleman role they offer no service and nothing of value. Digg is also a middleman but unlike gizmodo they add value and they prominently link to the actual story instead of pretending a 2-sentence summary is a substitute for it.
Gizmodo are so retarded they can write a story about anything with exactly 0 relevant links to any further information or relevant websites. They don't even link to IMDb in a story about a film director where they also refer to several movies. They could only be more anti-user if they threw an interstitial in front of their "articles", and no doubt the whores have toyed with that idea. - Bornhuetter, on 03/31/2008, -1/+2Safran was only involved in the first Scary Movie
- doshindude, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1followed closely by Epic Movie.
- jebzaki, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1think hard who was starring in scary movie 1 & 2 ..............The Wayans Brothers!
- philhatesyou, on 03/31/2008, -1/+2They should have got David Lynch. I'd buy a 360 if they had.
- leonwehttam, on 04/01/2008, -1/+2just shut the ***** up with your caps man!
- WhereAmI, on 04/01/2008, -0/+1He doesn't truly think that. He's the biggest Microsoft fanboy on Digg is all. Everything and anything Microsoft. And now EA ever since Peter Moore went to EA.
- rowlodge, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1he's cheap ,perfect...
- inactive, on 04/03/2008, -0/+1April Fool's ?
I ***** HOPE ~! - WhereAmI, on 04/01/2008, -0/+1I agree.
Liked. Not love. - Zzone, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1How can one get in touch with Microsoft's Creative dept?
- hotdamn, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1While, true, Jade Raymond is the prettiest lady in the gaming-biz, she is not a movie producer.
Fail. - buddamus, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1I had a free ticket
- deaftly, on 03/31/2008, -1/+2gawker in general is just utter *****
- cesarandreu, on 03/31/2008, -1/+1I don't get your last reply badwithcomputer. Maybe I'm not catching some obscure reference?
- Sandurz, on 03/31/2008, -2/+2Damn it, "I wish I knew why"
