- digg it
- Birks, on 04/21/2008, -37/+112I always had trouble installing games in my 360... now I don't have to worry anymore!
- NgrHader, on 04/21/2008, -4/+21Having used to work at Best Buy, they often used the same boxes that they store PC software and Computer Memory so that is probably why those stickers are on the packaging....but for obvious reasons I no longer work there
- TheBEAST205, on 04/21/2008, -9/+3You should get a sticker that says "Let us Jerk it for you...," put it on PC's, then say that you'll send an associate to the buyer's house to jerk them off when they watch porn on their computer.
- elDud3rino, on 04/21/2008, -5/+1Sales would most likely plummet, http://www.globalpov.com/images/bestbuy.jpg
- SpicyViper, on 04/21/2008, -1/+7I'm not from America and the reason is not so obvious to me. Will someone please let me in on the secret?
- TheBEAST205, on 04/21/2008, -9/+3You should get a sticker that says "Let us Jerk it for you...," put it on PC's, then say that you'll send an associate to the buyer's house to jerk them off when they watch porn on their computer.
- dfsjdkflasjk, on 04/21/2008, -5/+31Or dumb teenagers that took the picture found a few unused stickers and placed them on the case itself. My brother and I used to do that all the time.
- kingvik, on 04/21/2008, -0/+38You know that you're calling yourself dumb.
- cowsgoquack101, on 04/21/2008, -3/+7Or is he the smart for admitting his own actions?
- stabbingkittens, on 04/21/2008, -0/+13No, he's dumb.
- afruff23, on 04/21/2008, -2/+3Or maybe he wasn't a teenager when he did it.
- dfsjdkflasjk, on 04/21/2008, -1/+5Technically I'm labeling the teenagers who took a picture of it acting as if Best Buy actually did it. We did it more of an inside joke, but I'll digress since digg isn't really a place for continued conversation.
- CanadaMan87, on 04/21/2008, -0/+6lol, I love how he tried to make that last part sound intelligent.
- dfsjdkflasjk, on 04/22/2008, -1/+1lol lol lol
- cowsgoquack101, on 04/21/2008, -3/+7Or is he the smart for admitting his own actions?
- kingvik, on 04/21/2008, -0/+38You know that you're calling yourself dumb.
- DanMiller, on 04/21/2008, -0/+11It may have also been an attempt to drive installs of 360 consoles. There are alot of really stupid people who will pay someone $100 to come hook up a few cables to their home theater setup.
- GOVATENT, on 04/21/2008, -8/+1I am a 360 fan boy, but i think its a good thing best buy has this service. If you move the console while the disk is in it will eat it up. (A bad attempt at a joke. If you remember people complained about the dvd drives scratching the disks if moved. )
- crzdmn, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1You wouldn't be talking about the same people who used to say the more you play a CD (when CD's first hit mainstream) them more scratches your player will put on it.
I can remember hearing all about this evil scheme to make you rebuy your expensive new CD's if you listened to them to much.- sexybobo, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1No lots of people were complaining if you knock your 360 over or shake it while it is playing a dvd it will scratch the disk.
- GOVATENT, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1I was a bit young as cds were comming out. I was to busy playing sonic on my sega to care about anything else. Did people really say that about cd's when they came out?
- Ndiggnation, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2CDs came out in 82-83' or so, you were playing Sonic then?
- Artifishalfish, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1He pirated it off of ThePirateBay..... Oh wait, the Interwebz didn't have browserz until '92, NEVERMIND.
And Sonic came out in '91. And BitTorrent came out in '01. And ThePirateBay in '03.
OH JEEZ. Chronological errors.
- crzdmn, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1You wouldn't be talking about the same people who used to say the more you play a CD (when CD's first hit mainstream) them more scratches your player will put on it.
- Useight, on 04/21/2008, -2/+5Yeah, it's trying to get all the drivers working that makes it difficult.
- jspegele, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3I keep my xbox standing vertically, and man, do I have a hell of a time trying to insert games into that sideways disk drive. Thank you Best Buy! Now I can finally play Halo 3 again!
- NgrHader, on 04/21/2008, -4/+21Having used to work at Best Buy, they often used the same boxes that they store PC software and Computer Memory so that is probably why those stickers are on the packaging....but for obvious reasons I no longer work there

But digg on. Pay no attention to the man behind that curtain.- thebuggalo, on 04/21/2008, -11/+100dude, you got like 4000+ diggs. chill out.
- cheappop, on 04/21/2008, -54/+11No, he shouldn't chill out. The story has already been posted. It becomes redundant and obnoxious at this point.

- TheKrillr, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3*doesn't
- Synapse84, on 04/21/2008, -1/+28oh noes.. you may have seen the same thing twice... others that don't troll digg 24/7 may not have seen it before.
- notoneofus, on 04/21/2008, -1/+11Not if you don't read it, it doesn't
- santaliqueur, on 04/21/2008, -1/+13Much like your posts. Shut up already.
- cheappop, on 04/21/2008, -5/+1***** you. I haven't made another post on this page besides this one right now. You seem desperate to make a witty response and instead look like a retarded clown.
- TheKrillr, on 04/21/2008, -1/+1@cheappop
Stop talking to yourself, man. - cheappop, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1@The Krillr
"I know you are but what am I." Once again, the strong wit and intellect at digg just kills me. What are your other mature and well thought out retorts? Let me guess, "Your mama is so fat that..." - TheKrillr, on 04/22/2008, -0/+1@cheappop
Actually, yo momma's so fat you got AIDS bitch!

- evanstapler, on 04/21/2008, -10/+27You're being serious? These are two completely different scenarios, and this one even comes with a story and article, which is much more than yours provided.
- Kotelic, on 04/21/2008, -15/+11yes and by "article" you mean barely two paragraphs worth of text that basically describe the picture. I'm gonna have to agree with Chimp here. OLD.
- jmarc90, on 04/21/2008, -4/+1This is just a fraudulent "news" post that people are taking seriously and are idiots for doing so. I can be content with this being posted 10000x over and over again, but not it being on the front page!
- cherwilco, on 04/21/2008, -4/+44dugg this one for not being submitted by a freakin crybaby
- str1fe, on 04/21/2008, -0/+8Agreed. Also, undugg and buried Nazi's original submission just for that comment.
- DuffyDirect, on 04/21/2008, -3/+10loser. go outside.
- NaziHatinChimp, on 04/21/2008, -13/+6Not trying to steal anyone's thunder, just don't call it news. I felt like I should mention this has been on digg before. I said digg on because I don't care if it gets repeated. When you digg people get your panties in a bundle you can really take on a mob mentality. Furthermore my simple picture tells more than a million words in that ***** blog.
- monsterenergy, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3Totally.
- str1fe, on 04/21/2008, -2/+8I see you didn't notice the part where it's not even the same story - not the same pictures, not even the same sticker.
Quit being a crybaby and learn when to fold. - BSDaemon, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4loser.
- fr3ddie, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4i agree with nazihatinchimp.... duplicate storys are LAME!!!... and all of you spouting "crybaby" are just hypocrite jerks!
- thebuggalo, on 04/21/2008, -11/+100dude, you got like 4000+ diggs. chill out.
- zomgorly, on 04/21/2008, -9/+346Best Buy staff just reused old cases from another PC product or just some employee trying to see if there is someone stupid enough to ask to install a Xbox 360 game. This would have been funnier if it was PS3's Devil May Cry 4.
- exscind, on 04/21/2008, -1/+63That case likely housed RAM DIMM's at some point.
- Shaunt, on 04/21/2008, -8/+24That's what she said.
- nmcphee, on 04/21/2008, -3/+9I wish I read the comments before digging. Article -> Comments -> Digg/Bury. now I feel like I fed a fat man posing as a starving child.
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 04/21/2008, -0/+5Uhh... you can undigg a submission, you know...
- Fludd777, on 04/21/2008, -8/+12It also would have been funnier if it wasn't on digg already with +4.5 thousand views.
http://digg.com/xbox/Thanks_Geek_Squad - alterImperson, on 04/21/2008, -3/+5lol yup. It was lazy merch guys. Happens all the time actually. But Best Buy doesn't use those stickers anymore, so this is probably an old picture too. If it were new it woulda been Geek Squad.
- vocalyouth, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4yeah cause burnout paradise is a really old game
- sup4141, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3Yeah when you make 8 bucks an hour you don't give a ***** if the case says something like this. Why the ***** is this on consumerist.
- J3EBS, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3When you're on Consumerist, you make 8 bucks an hour. That's why you don't give a *****.
- sagegoku666, on 04/21/2008, -2/+0fie! fie!
- SmackedbyEVO, on 04/21/2008, -2/+3that or someone decided to be funny and remove the stickers from other cases and put them on some games. the picture seems pretty high quality(probably not cell phone camera). who brings a camera to best buy?
- exscind, on 04/21/2008, -1/+63That case likely housed RAM DIMM's at some point.
- Natetendo83, on 04/21/2008, -8/+234I was going to come back with a comment about how those are just reused cases from PC products, and then I saw that this article was from Consumerist and I stopped caring.
- lacronicus, on 04/21/2008, -19/+1None of the PC boxes are that size to begin with; they always come in either the cd sized box or a much bigger box.
- spelchek, on 04/21/2008, -0/+19Its used for ram usually.
- theaceoffire, on 04/21/2008, -24/+1Yeah, I do not understood why people ask someone else to install RAM...
I mean, why pay $30 to install? You don't even need a screw driver. - DeathJux, on 04/21/2008, -0/+20Because not everyone is as awesome as you, theaceoffire. Believe it or not, most people (think of mom/dad/grandma/grandpa/etc) are terrified of the internals of their computers.
- theaceoffire, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2I understand that, but I still feel it is wrong to over charge these people.
I see these "tech help" places charging 150 to install an OS, or 70 to do a spyware sweep, and it feels so wrong... Even just backing up data to a dvd gets charged massive amounts. - DeathJux, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3That's because you don't understand how a business works. There are tons of costs beyond what you immediately perceive. Labor for repairs is very high-margin, so very valuable for the company, whereas products usually are very low-margin (other than cables/accessories).
If they don't know how to do it themselves, they are paying more for the expertise than for the actual procedure, as there's usually hundreds or thousands of hours of training/experience behind any particular technician (again, usually). - Cyber_Akuma, on 04/21/2008, -1/+2If you think $70 for a spyware sweep is wrong, how about Best Buy charging you $150 to program a universal remote?
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8354 ...
- theaceoffire, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2I understand that, but I still feel it is wrong to over charge these people.
- Emnsta, on 04/21/2008, -1/+5heh, internals
- theaceoffire, on 04/21/2008, -24/+1Yeah, I do not understood why people ask someone else to install RAM...
- se1zure, on 04/21/2008, -2/+2finally, somone on digg with some common sense. The consumerist takes horrible single sided and often pointless journalism to a new level.
- Catballs, on 04/21/2008, -1/+0You'd be surprised at how many people take that pointless journalism seriously. As a Best Buy employee myself, the hatred and distaste that I have for that COMPLETELY baseless website is without bound.
As for the cases, we use them store high value product that would be regularly placed in line.. things like RAM for laptops, High Capacity memory cards for cameras, video games, etc. So, seeing it on another product, while stupid, isn't something that you should be putting on a website supposedly devoted to protecting consumers, rather than creating a completely baseless bias.

- spelchek, on 04/21/2008, -0/+19Its used for ram usually.
- amdforever, on 04/21/2008, -8/+55***** the Consumerist. Sometimes I feel that blog is written by a bunch of brain-dead monkeys.
- tchynerd, on 04/21/2008, -0/+27Hey man don't degrade the monkeys
- GOVATENT, on 04/21/2008, -6/+1becuase you are one!
- fkr3, on 04/21/2008, -1/+6The real question is who diggs this *****....
- Awspire, on 04/21/2008, -1/+7The Consumerist is run by Gawker Media, who runs a bunch of other blogs we often see make the front page here on Digg. Hmm, I wonder why...
Check out the wiki part where its stated that those blogs possibly pulled in over two million last year. Diggers digg those idiots up every time.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gawker_Media- fkr3, on 04/21/2008, -0/+8The saddest part is they - and I'm including their twin Weblogs Inc in this - rely almost entirely on digg because their anti-user practices like having more ads than content and only linking to themselves instead of anything relevant prevent them from retaining regular readers. Their posts that don't get on the front page are lucky if they get a few thousand views. The posts that get on digg get 10s of thousands of views.
We carry these sites and for what? Low quality reporting, second hand summaries of second hand summaries from other blogs, getting ads plastered in front of us and finally having to cut & paste into the Google search box in our browsers just to find any relevant information.- Awspire, on 04/21/2008, -1/+1I wouldn't bitch about any blog if they were providing unique content, though this submission is about as good as it gets with them. Between pointless blog spam, chan spam, and obama spam, lately Digg is turning into cesspool of user provided content.

- crapmatic, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1I used to like Consumerist a lot until several months ago when they stopped responding to emails, interacting with users, and listening to suggestions. It was better in the old days.
- tchynerd, on 04/21/2008, -0/+27Hey man don't degrade the monkeys
- spookyttws, on 04/21/2008, -1/+8Really, only sometimes?
- SillyDigger, on 04/21/2008, -1/+9Thank goodness for the undigg button. I cannot stand the consumerist and their overly blown out of proportion whiny articles.
- riskybeats, on 04/21/2008, -1/+13I couldn't remember if Consumerist was a good website or not before I clicked this link. Now its time to make a mental note that it blows balls.
- Fxer, on 04/21/2008, -8/+5They're a powerful blog. Sometimes all it takes to solve a customer service problem is to ha a post on their site.
- renatoc8, on 04/21/2008, -7/+1It's not reused cases. Those cases are the size of a DVD case, and PC games have thicker, and usually cardboard boxes.
- Pg5of16, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3Maybe in 1998 they did, but alot of games these days come in DVD cases, like the Orange Box
- dan2600, on 04/22/2008, -0/+1Consumerist only? Sorry anything Gawker that shows up on Digg I bury The entire company is corrupt sensationalists that wouldn't know journalism if they were....uh...reading it.
- lacronicus, on 04/21/2008, -19/+1None of the PC boxes are that size to begin with; they always come in either the cd sized box or a much bigger box.

- jessenoob, on 04/21/2008, -6/+168Is it already time for digg to start recycling previous articles today?

- TheUndertoker, on 04/21/2008, -14/+5Shut up, jerkoff. This is the first time I've seen this article. Not everyone trolls Digg 24/7 like you obviously do.
I have a great idea for ya....if you notice an article you might have seen before, DON'T CLICK THE LINK, STUPID!!- Ipwnyou, on 04/21/2008, -0/+7Look at your comment. Now look at his. Which one looks more like a jerkoff wrote it?

- PCloadLetterWTF, on 04/21/2008, -1/+2My friend introduced me to digg exactly 52 days ago (checked sign up date) and even I've already seen this. Im not saying its not funny... its just.... im a new digger, and even ive seen this on digg before.

- santaliqueur, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3That no longer works here.
- ieataquacrayons, on 04/21/2008, -8/+147Buried, Inaccurate. Consumerist looks for anything wrong at Best Buy from the cases reused from pc memory/software, to some obscure open box price that someone forgot to update. Now I can enjoy reading the consumerist but they are just totally off point sometimes.
- hereisandy, on 04/21/2008, -7/+1Did you read the article???
- TBobes, on 04/21/2008, -1/+8Why would it matter. Its just a case that was for memory that is now being used on video games. I work at Best Buy, and we had a couple cases with old geek squad stickers on it. Its not a big deal at all.
- Arthemys, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4Did you?????? (note the more question marks I used to enhance the effect)
Some dolt merely put a sticker on a security case that once protected computer memory or computer software, instead of putting the sticker on the product itself. The case then was used to protect the 360 games.
- HaloZero, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Consider it part of your daily "who the hell cares" blog posting requirement.
- thewrathoffluff, on 04/21/2008, -6/+8"Consumerist looks for anything wrong at Best Buy"
Well, there's a lot to choose from. - LifesBane, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2I don't think anyone even forgot to update the price tag on that open box you mentioned-- if you were referring to the monitor, I think it was determined that the back panel was actually SUPPOSED to be removable. Do the people at the Consumerist even check user submissions over anymore? They may as well just replace the "Digg it" button on their articles with a "Bury as Inaccurate" button.
- BSDaemon, on 04/21/2008, -1/+1dugg down for being a moron
- bingobongony, on 04/21/2008, -3/+3Buried this comment for implying that smetimes you actually enjoy the Consumerist. They have NEVER written anything informative, interesting, humorous, or important at all.

- colincornaby, on 04/21/2008, -14/+2Someone should actually buy the service and see what exactly Best Buy does to "install" the game.
- DeathJux, on 04/21/2008, -0/+11And the salesperson would say "Oh, sometimes the cases are reused, disregard the sticker."
- mdcraig62, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1or they might really come to your house...."install" the software...and set the house on fire in the process.

- SemiSarcastic, on 04/21/2008, -12/+2Are you ***** serious!?
- linuxrocks2007, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4No.
- 24imac, on 04/21/2008, -11/+30This was on the front page a few months ago. Are we recycling material?.
- christopheles, on 04/21/2008, -3/+22This was in the comments a few hours ago. Are we recycling material?
- jdmcadam, on 04/21/2008, -0/+5Zing!
- phenolholic, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4try reading one of the 20 times someone has already said this before you
- str1fe, on 04/21/2008, -2/+1Different instance. Different sticker. Same company, different everything else.
- MinustheBear, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Recycle. Reduce. Reuse.
I guess we're following them all.
- christopheles, on 04/21/2008, -3/+22This was in the comments a few hours ago. Are we recycling material?
- amdforever, on 04/21/2008, -2/+35Best Buy re-uses those shells without peeling off the stickers.
They use the shells for PC softwares.- AAK15, on 04/21/2008, -0/+6Wow really?!?!?!? Did anyone else say this in the comments above you?
- bokononrock, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2The digger attention span strikes again.
- Dunhamzzz, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2They re-use them shells for pc software don't they. story solved.
Wait. What?
- Dunhamzzz, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2They re-use them shells for pc software don't they. story solved.
- beigemore, on 04/21/2008, -1/+19Those are the same cases that use for RAM. They use put whatever in them and disregard the sticker.
- cheezintern, on 04/21/2008, -12/+5Buried because they wont come to my house and wipe my ass.
- frasermoo, on 04/21/2008, -1/+2they will, but the pricing hasn't been worked out yet.
- BiLLtheButch3r, on 04/21/2008, -8/+9Really?
Not dugg.- all_about_the_D, on 04/21/2008, -1/+2i concur
- EwMo, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2"Buried" would've probably been a little more effective in this sort of case. "Not dugg" just screams mediocrity and carries no weight.
- trestevenson, on 04/21/2008, -7/+5I think any of us who have ever worked in retail realizes what's going on in the photo. That still doesn't take the humor out of the situation though. =P
- dsveen, on 04/21/2008, -1/+18The Consumerist is the worst place to find any news. Like others have said the plastic boxes have just been reused from something like ram or some other pc component. Consumerist == *****
- Jay105, on 04/21/2008, -8/+0American games are far cheaper :(
COD4 is still retailing here at £44.99- hmunkey, on 04/21/2008, -2/+1European X360 consoles are about $100 cheaper than here, so quit whining. (Currency exchange rate accounted for).
- DeathJux, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3PS3 games are around ~$120 NZD here in New Zealand, which would put it right around $95 USD. America gets games crazy cheap compared to the less blessed countries.
- HolyChimp, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/5320568/Call- ...
And that's the GOTY edition. You're shopping wrong!
- Sethwm2, on 04/21/2008, -8/+3This picture is as old as the internets...
- driftwood07, on 04/21/2008, -0/+7umm only as old as call of duty 4?
- woofers07, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2mmmmm, 15 years vs 5 months, same thing pretty much.
- driftwood07, on 04/21/2008, -0/+7umm only as old as call of duty 4?
- YourMajesty, on 04/21/2008, -3/+28How many times on digg do we have to see this? In case you missed the last 50 comments, BestBuy reuses the same security cases for PC hardware as they do for video games. I would know, I was a Media Specialist at BestBuy for a year before I transferred to another department...
Why is this on consumerist?- p0tent1al, on 04/21/2008, -3/+1and whose fault is that? If you go to a police station, and start yelling "I murdered the girl down the street!", what kind of reaction do you expect?
- AAK15, on 04/21/2008, -0/+7...What?
- str1fe, on 04/21/2008, -0/+4Explain how that's relevant to this topic, please.
- greenlight2001, on 04/21/2008, -0/+6Maybe he's venting something he just did... cleansing his soul or something...
- YourMajesty, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Meth is one hell of a drug.
- p0tent1al, on 04/23/2008, -0/+1If you have a sticker outside of a game box, saying that you will professional install xbox games, you can't fault Consumerist for running a piece about the absurdity of it. If you want to be cheap and use boxes with install stickers on it for xbox games, then you are responsible for the scorn by your consumers.
The reason I didn't explain, is that I figured Diggers would get it, and when Digg was in it's prime, every one would understand it, and if you were being sarcastic, you wouldn't need to put sarcastic tags on *****. I guess that time is long and gone. Next time I'll be sure to explain it to you guys very slowly.
- shermanthetank, on 04/21/2008, -2/+1Media Specialist? That rocks!
- YourMajesty, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2It's not as cool as it sounds. Trust me. I like my new position better (Customer Assistant).
- knor, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2you are a traitor to the motherland that is media, CA's suck ass
- YourMajesty, on 04/21/2008, -0/+0I'm sorry you feel that way?
- dan2600, on 04/22/2008, -0/+0Because consumerist is sensationalist crap and they will post any anti-best buy thing possible to try to get media attention (since they published that fake video of a 'geek squad' agent stealing pr0n)
- p0tent1al, on 04/21/2008, -3/+1and whose fault is that? If you go to a police station, and start yelling "I murdered the girl down the street!", what kind of reaction do you expect?
- wenis, on 04/21/2008, -10/+3Dugg because most, if not all customers at best buy are that ***** stupid.
- ogisdan, on 04/21/2008, -2/+1Very true.
- estvir, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1What does this have to do with the customers? As pointed out, they re-use cases to save money.
You're quite stupid.
- loveisdelirium, on 04/21/2008, -7/+1I used to work for the evil empire known as BBY. They would do anything to turn a buck. Eat it Best Buy!!!
- gplpark92, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4obviously the case was used from some PC game.
and even that's dumb, but i guess if my grandmother wants to install some software she might need some help pressing "next". - krisniiran, on 04/21/2008, -1/+5I used to work at Best Buy, they totally made us do that one time too. We all just stared at the managers for about a minute. Then we just did it, because we knew it'd be faster to just get it done than to argue with that diminished level of intelligence the managers constantly displayed.
- beauc, on 04/21/2008, -1/+2this is stupid. clearly they are advertising a service to install full gaming/tv/surround sound systems. I'm not one to defend BB, but still...
- Metalcard, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4Ah, recycling old articles is fun isn't it? Its even more fun when the same recycled article is on the front page more then 3 times. Lurke before you submit, honestly.
- HiKevinRose, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3THAN
- MarkKB, on 04/21/2008, -0/+0Old? It was written *yesterday*!
- mrgeekguy, on 04/21/2008, -6/+4I can see my 70 year old Grandma seeing this, and getting scammed. That or my retarded 40 year old cousin who calls me every time a freakin pop up comes up on his computer.
- ZephyrNinety, on 04/21/2008, -6/+1"O boi, i r having many lolz"
- wshwe, on 04/21/2008, -7/+3Crap Buy deserves to get bashed as frequently as possible!
- HiKevinRose, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3You're clever.
- sneakerelph, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1I see what you did there.
- KevinRWright, on 04/21/2008, -0/+12When I worked at BBY we used to have ongoing competitions to see who could get those stickers on the most ridiculous product. I came in for a shift and noticed them on all of the books and magazines that they sell up front. After that, the managers put an end to that game rather quick.
Anyway, like others said, these cases get used on a ton of stuff and just got thrown on a game after being in pc/home office.- YourMajesty, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4I did the same thing with the USB Cable Required stickers that are supposed to go on printers. Within a few minutes, they were on USB Cables, Guitar Hero, and Spearmint Gum.
- Labourer, on 04/21/2008, -0/+4did you sell out of usb cables that day?
- YourMajesty, on 04/21/2008, -1/+4I did the same thing with the USB Cable Required stickers that are supposed to go on printers. Within a few minutes, they were on USB Cables, Guitar Hero, and Spearmint Gum.
- 10ofDiamonds, on 04/21/2008, -4/+5Why is this article on the front page...AGAIN?!?!
- phenolholic, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3Why is this comment being repeated...AGAIN?!?!
- thaddyboy, on 04/21/2008, -3/+4buried as old and lame...
- burgermeiste, on 04/21/2008, -4/+5Please stop submitting anything from the consumerist. They write articles with partial information in them just to keep everyone pissed off at each.
- lessthanadam, on 04/21/2008, -5/+1When I bought a GPS unit from them they offered to install it (obviously for a fee). The sales clerk even managed to ask with a straight face.
- bustedconsum, on 04/21/2008, -2/+1Idiot. When the 'install' is offered, they're not opening up the box, affixing it to your windshield and plugging it into a cigarette lighter. Usually it's hardwired, so you don't have wires dangling everywhere. (I have a GPS, iPod FM transmitter, iPod charger, etc lying around my car, it gets messy)
- cutevie, on 04/21/2008, -4/+5This is why I shop on Newegg.com -_-
- TheInformer, on 04/21/2008, -3/+2The movie "Idiocracy" is becoming more and more true.
- Nemoso, on 04/21/2008, -2/+1yeah, employees who aren't paid enough to sit around peeling labels off of some shells are definitely key contributors to the downfall of society.
buried as retarded. - bingobongony, on 04/21/2008, -1/+1If by that comment you are talking about yourself, then I would agree with you.
- Nemoso, on 04/21/2008, -2/+1yeah, employees who aren't paid enough to sit around peeling labels off of some shells are definitely key contributors to the downfall of society.
- ace429k, on 04/21/2008, -4/+1how much does it cost?
- solid12345, on 04/21/2008, -1/+8If by professional install then you mean hot blonde airhead girl in Best Buy uniform coming to my house and putting the disc in, yeah it is worth every penny.
- timdawgg, on 04/21/2008, -5/+2RTFM
If this was real, of course. - TimeLincoln, on 04/21/2008, -1/+8Old.
- JacksonYaya, on 04/21/2008, -3/+1I would need the 3 year extended warrenty before I would buy that install.
- conkers209, on 04/21/2008, -1/+2I've seen another story about this before on digg. They reuse those cases, it's not like they have the time to take them off. Besides, how did they take that picture because I thought best buy doesn't alow people to take pictures inside there stores anymore?
