Half-Life, System Shock 2, Deus Ex, and others were what REALLY redefined the FPS and moved it into something more for the first time since the days of Doom, yet most will never play them because they have outdated graphics (playing SS2 again not long ago made me a little motion sick at first from the way the graphics were done).
I was disappointed by Bioshock because I knew it was just a remake of SS2 with half the gameplay cut-out to "simplify" it and 1/4 of the depth.
