- nreynolds, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13how do you know there will be Games for Windows vs. Xbox gameplay? Halo 3 for PC hasn't even been announced.
- MillionsLivio, on 10/10/2007, -4/+15Continues to come together, Halo 2 was a disappointment for the hardcore fanbase; however, Halo 3 seems to have the feeling of the original all around it.
- astrofizix, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9whoa there bud, slow your roll. both console and pc are valid control types. don't hate cuz your not having a good friday morning.

At the Leipzig Game’s Convention in Germany, Bungie’s Brian Jarrard revealed a whole lot of tasty information about the company’s up-and-coming Halo 3. Check out the bullet list below for all the details
* New mode/feature called the “Forge” lets you edit weapon placement, spawn points, vehicles and more in real-time during the middle of multiplayer matches. You’ll take on the shape of monitor, similar to the Guilty Spark, and will even be vulnerable to gunfire and player attacks while you edit maps in real-time.
* Multiplayer customization options let you create your very own power-ups with specific attributes. For example, if you want to create a power-up that lets you run twice as fast, kill in a single shot and jump extra high, you can.
* You can share your edited levels with others by placing it in your “shared items” slot, which other players can then access and download to their 360.
* “Bungie Recommends” section on Bungie.net will spotlight Bungie-found user content, like screens, videos, edited levels, rule sets and more.
* Heroic and Legendary difficulties now tougher than ever. Bungie recommends experienced Halo gamers play on these difficulties rather than Normal.
We’ll have more on Halo 3 as it happens.

WHY NOT JUST POST TO IGN!!!! - Koldkompress, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7"We’ll have more on Halo 3 as it happens."
->
"We'll have more on Halo 3 as soon as we rip it off another more influential site that gets previews etc before us" - enforcerpsu, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Why allow the map editor to be shot? What good is that?
"Ok...I'll just put this gun back over here and.....*BAM*....&*#&@$%#$!!!!!" - cawpin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6If it wasn't able to be killed it would be far too easy to cheat.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Wow that sounds awesome. September 25th needs to come 30 days early.
- hollismb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5They said in a weekly update that they'd put a lot of effort into making all modes more 'fair', not necessarily harder. So, less frustrating, more consistent.
- Dustmuffins, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Halo: Serious Business.
- zweben, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Yay for even tougher Legendary difficulty.
I'm not even that good but I love me a challenge. - gebx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Let me guess, your a cheater/hacker and you're pissed that you can't do any of that on Xbox Live without getting permabanned... I've been so turned off FPS on PC because of hacker that I never intend on playing an FPS unless its through Xbox Live.
- throwaway4, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Please don't digg down DarkSideofOZ. That is the best comment I've ever read on Digg. I can literally hear him sobbing uncontrollably whilst typing that little manifesto out. It's also funny that it takes EIGHT games to equal what Halo does in 1. (...and half of those are on consoles, too!)
- rstarr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Red, Yellow, and Blue power-ups were available in the custom game options. However enabling them during the beta froze the game lobby and you had to reboot.
- BLyn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Forge isn't meant to be the main multiplayer mode. But still if you want to play it, just have a bit of respect for the other team and stick to whatever rules you agree to... perhaps one monitor for each team.
- saboola, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5No internet play and repetitive level design due to a launch deadline crunch? You can keep Halo 1. I want Halo 3.
- zzz@tkz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Yes. You can get everything from Halo in different games. But those aren't one game, now are they? We like everything fun packed into one super badass game.
- Tolzmaniac, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Don't like it? Don't play it. So people (including myself) enjoy playing Halo. Is that wrong?
- LegendarySock, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Forget Legendary, I'm grabbing the mythic skull in a party of four for REAL hell.
- dobbinmon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3So you're telling us you've never played halo for the xbox, and that you're basing your assumption on the PC version... well done, have a cookie
- cauleyk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3LOL to DarkSideofOZ....
- SAOSiN, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3[meant for sam10685 sorry]
Total shinfo dude... - gebx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3"Heroic and Legendary difficulties now tougher than ever. Bungie recommends experienced Halo gamers play on these difficulties rather than Normal."
That's all I wanted to know! - hollismb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It's only in custom games, and it's a mode you can turn on and off.
- rowlodge, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2decisions, decisions,...so many decisions.
- Kinsbane, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I pretty much now read Halo stories on Digg, not for the stories but for the bashing comments.
You guys come up with the funniest stuff. - mojo31979, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2You need to get a ***** life.....it's a game do you realize that. excuse the hell out of use for being excited about Halo3. Remember IT IS A GAME. Get over yourself.
- protogenxl, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I already got the impression Bungie was doing this from the "Satanic Piñata" post but it is good hear it be confirmed.
- criztoph, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2This is awesome... these feature will def raise the bar for games like this
- knodi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1can;t wait for Halo 3 only 31 days to go.
- picosan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I agree! Not only that but definitely could be a sign that the consoles are being one step closer to allowing open modding for future games. Lest i can dream it for a while...
- foomojive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5all this stuff was already revealed. make your own power ups was available in the custom game settings in the beta.
- Hoinah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I think my favorite part of this conversation is how furious DarkSideofOZ is coming off.
I doubt he even realizes how infantile his rant appears.
Oh, and DarkSide: learn grammar please. ^_^ - MrLazySmurf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Legendary HERE I COME ALONG WITH MY3 buddies in New Mexico, Georgia, and TEXAS (im in Cali)!!!
- imikedaman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I dunno, I'm a bit worried about how they said Easy and Normal modes are way too basic for previous Halo players, while Heroic and Legendary were made much harder. I mean, didn't Halo 2 already completely destroy any sense of balance in between the difficulties, and Halo 3 was supposed to remedy that?
- Dustmuffins, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1If I need help picking a game, I'll go to a gaming website, not your all knowing digg comments.
- Dustmuffins, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1OMG I HEAR GEORGE BUSH LIKES HALO TOO!!
- NeoOfTheSith, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'm seem to remember seeing these "*****" on games even before FPS on consoles were big.
- GabingtoN, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No, you have store up to 100 things on your HDD. At anytime you can have 6 on your public file share. You can then create xbl silver accounts that can just be mules, so they can have another 6 files that are uploaded.
So no, you aren't being charged to upload your own content. You only are charged if you want more space for a SINGLE account. - throwaway4, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11. "You're not witty, you're not smart."
2. This was my very first comment on Digg. - rilbyrne, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Umm...not so much. I am and was a hardcore Halo player. Most "serious" Halo players (ones who play online multiplayer) were really happy with H2. Of course there was the bitching about small changes (there has already been alot of this b/c of the public Beta) but all in all most were happy.
The campaign does blow though. - nygrissplz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0and your attitude
- stillmitch, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Halo is fun. I enjoy the universe and general atmosphere of the game. Online multiplayer through matchmaking is fantastic and easily accessible. I mute voices when I get sick of them. The level design is nice and though the graphics aren't technically superior to other games in the genre, they are more than acceptable. Color scheme is vibrant and strays away from the gritty feeling most shooters go for.
But all in all, it's just fun. I've played a ton of video games (including a couple from your list), but most just don't have the longevity that Halo does for me, which is why I'm buying an Xbox360 before September 25. If you don't like the game, don't. - zomgorly, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0i read about this in EGM
- jason469, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Although all of it sounds great, I'm a little worried about being able to change spawn, gun, and vehicle points in "real-time" while playing. I can see people changing the spawn point half way through the game, so that their team has the better spawn points and better guns.
- DarkSideofOZ, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Who is Use and why is he excited over another P.O.S. Halo title?
Getting over myself is not possible, I am awesome. If you think different your wrong, I am the greatest, cause I say so! - ZigVicious, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1create, like brand new, or create as in decide what powerups go in the map, a la agent under fire?
- foomojive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2uh yeah... it was. there were 3 slots for powerups that you could apply different powers to. whether it actually made those powerups available on the map i don't know because i didn't try but the option was there in the custom game menu.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1same wallpaper from game
