It would be more correct to say "based on a Japanese style of Anime" as opposed to an American or European style. "A Japanese style" as well, because there are different artistic styles within anime, depending on which studio and character designer each is based on.

      Anime is just a word coined by the Japanese to refer to animated artwork. It applies equally well to art created in other countries, its just most fans only think that it refers to animation created in Japan.

    With that many Little Sisters running around the room, Big Daddy should definately have been drawn with a large sweat drop coming down his head.
