"But it was only in 2002 that French scientists produced the world's first cloned rabbit using cells from an adult female rabbit, the paper said.
The Chinese rabbit was the world's first to be cloned using "fibroblast" cells from a fetal rabbit, the China Daily said. "

- rgodfrey, on 10/10/2007, -4/+8Why, exactly, do we need to know that this story has a picture? It's not like it looks any different from any other rabbit.
Then again, I think I clicked on the link just to see the picture. Damn it! - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5When we start cloning humans, can we clone a whole lotta' Angelina Joelie? I want one, please.
- jwigum, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I bet it can multiply...
- DarkTranquility, on 10/10/2007, -5/+8South Korea claimed it had cloned a dog and that was later proven to false including the research....This could be the same thing.
FTA: It was not clear if the findings had been published in a scientific journal or independently verified.

- reginabally, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Is it ethnical to use cloned animals to do medical research? I don't think so.

http://blog.reginabally.net/2007/07/27/animal-testing-using-cloned-animals-is-it-ethnical/ - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No, but I bet it can manufacture cheap fireworks in a hurry though.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's not a rabbit, it's a tribble.
- zenlunatic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Screw rabbits. Clone an army of Dramatic Chipmunks!
- Junkyarddawg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The description is inaccurate. Rabbits have been cloned numerous times before, there's even a transgene rabbit. And they used cells from an embryo. What's new is the use of fibroblasts, a mature cell type, rather than embryonic stem cells. That's it.
- sinembarg0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1you're
- Junkyarddawg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Also known as "identical twin studies". Google that.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No, a person can be of several of your Digg archetypes simultaneously:
1. In Soviet Russia, Digg comments on you. Deal with it.
2. Most grammar police make grammatical errors in their comments intended to correct another's grammatical error.
3. Racism, while clearly frowned upon, is certainly not illegal. At least not yet.
4. This comment gave me a semi.
5. Your comment adds nothing of value to the conversation, and is completely off-topic.
6. You should be in the dumpster behind a Planned Parenthood with a coat hanger sticking out of your head.
7. You've learned this in all your...months on Digg?
8. I'll try to save everyone by digging down your comment so their not slammed in the face by your wall 'o text.
9. I'm an expert at spotting an idiot...did you actually say "right cheer?"
If you don't call your comment writing "a whole article" WTF would be? - ChromaVita, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Pics of both of them or it didn't happen.
- rejoined, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1In Soviet Russia, TubbyCats makes good LolCats.
- gruz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1As an owner of a domestic rabbit, I don't think they should be ***** with like they are mice.
- CaptainHarlock, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Everything is fine and dandy until the rabbit clone suddenly separates into base components.
- AsadM, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1This rabbit looks JUST like that rabbit!
- carbonetc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Awwww. Whooo's a widdle affront to God? Is it ooo? Yes ooo are!
- Smills, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21: enhanced*
2: No. - BESTenemy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Worms borrowed their weapon idea from The Holy Grail movie.
- socokoolaid, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1We shall now use cloning to be infinitely lucky. Start the foot severing mills.
- Firehed, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Okay, that just takes it too far. Close the browser, wash the Cheeto dust off your hands, and go outside for some fresh air.
