- kazimierczuk, on 07/10/2008, -10/+214I will now refer to this as the "Bush Paradox"
- AzBats, on 07/09/2008, -21/+206and I don't believe he believes in anything he's ever said - it's just smoke and mirrors while the economy gets raped by his corporate buddies
- fr3ddie, on 07/10/2008, -20/+161well, it is a volunteer army, right?
- williethakid, on 07/09/2008, -20/+158Lead on great leader....
- kenplaysviola, on 07/10/2008, -4/+88Then that's when people will feel personally threatened, actually get pissed, and do something about it since nobody wants to go to Iraq out of a draft. Why fight the fight when others are fighting for you? If the draft happens, then this Iraq fiasco will end. Until then, we'll just sit comfortably at home and watch reality TV shoes wearing our new Nike shoes while eating a bucket of KFC.
brought to you by Carl's Jr... - dcbebop, on 07/10/2008, -5/+76"I was elected to lead, not to read ..."
- tucsonsun13, on 07/10/2008, -21/+89This war is, and has been, a God-damn joke since late 2003 and onward. George W. Bush; the worst President in United States history. Inarguably. As illustrated, walking all-over the American flag and our troops at the same time.
- dsmx, on 07/10/2008, -18/+72Until they run out of troops then the draft will come back.
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -4/+55Its not a war anymore, please stop using that word. This is an occupation.
- Renian, on 07/10/2008, -7/+50Apparently, circular logic is square.
- dsmx, on 07/10/2008, -16/+46Why? He is responsible for every death in Iraq.
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -3/+31Mission accomplished
- darth_newmacer, on 07/10/2008, -7/+32I think the new rationale in the war is "we must win by continuing to fight this losing battle." Pulling out is seen as failure, but in reality staying in and fighting might result in the ultimate failure for both Iraq and the United States.
- obliviousfool, on 07/10/2008, -5/+27That doesn't mean we should beat it into the ground and waste lives in a war profiteer's wet dream. They volunteered for the military, not giant ***** of bad decisions and lies.
- sodade, on 07/10/2008, -2/+22Dude - I'd be willing to "fight for OUR freedom" but not one military action of the last 60 years fits that bill. How can you people be so ***** blind?
- theguesser10, on 07/10/2008, -9/+29H-how do they do that? It keeps going up. And up. And up. And up. And I've just done three cartwheels on my chair.
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -4/+21Dugg for Idiocracy
- benstl, on 07/10/2008, -1/+16Read it counter-clockwise, creepy.
- hmalik, on 07/10/2008, -8/+23Mission Accomplished!
- AnarkeIncarnate, on 07/10/2008, -3/+18*****, I missed the parade. Wait......why are we still there if the surge worked?
- dinostabOMG, on 07/10/2008, -0/+15Now try to draw a 6 in the air.
- geometry, on 07/10/2008, -7/+20Great point. This is exactly why I believe we should have a much smaller standing army, only big enough to protect our nation from attack within our borders. If our government thinks it's wise and necessary to start a war outside of our borders they would need to start a draft to grow the size of the army. This would stop useless, illegal wars.
- xs11ax, on 07/10/2008, -1/+13louis farrakhan?
- siszam, on 07/10/2008, -2/+13People like my son volunteered to defend American. He did NOT volunteer to be slaughtered in an illegal occupation of a country so Americas elites can profit. America is not in danger and does not need to be defended. So now, everyone who enlisted has to go along or be vilified and put in jail. This is not what they volunteered to do.
If you volunteer to help someone and they sell you into slavery you are no longer a volunteer! I can't dumb it down any further for you and the sixty some odd retards who dugg you up. - normalkid0615, on 07/10/2008, -5/+16wow... suck dick much?
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -5/+16Look, going to Iraq was a blunder. No doubt. But we're there now. The war we started has shattered the country's infrastructure, not to mention has killed tens of thousands of Iraqis. I think we owe it to the Iraqis to train their army and provide security so their new political processes can be vetted and firmly established.
The U.S. has the benefit of geographical isolation -- two oceans and two friendly nations at our borders. But I think letting Iraq turn into a failed state, half a world away, would be a major long-term strategic mistake and would have serious consequences not just for us but for our allies in Southwest Asia and in Europe as well.
Whatever happens, it'll be interesting to see what the world looks like in 15-20 years. - Naieve, on 07/10/2008, -1/+12Shh, you might make people realize Bush isn't a Dictator.
- endlessoul, on 07/10/2008, -0/+10It's hip to be square.
- JEAH, on 07/10/2008, -0/+10@jheat10
you throw down a racist bomb and then pretend to be intelligent and logical in your thoughts. You bring up relevant points of substance and rhetoric but sadly undercut yourself before making a single point. Good luck with that. - levelred, on 07/10/2008, -9/+19mc escher FTW
- jezsik, on 07/10/2008, -2/+12Short term gains.
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -12/+22I wish I could do another tour. Civilian life just plain sucks.
- kuatto, on 07/10/2008, -10/+20That picture is missing everyone in congress who voted to approve military action against Iraq.
- kingatrock, on 07/10/2008, -8/+18So lets expend them with whatever ***** war we want, wow way to respect life. But don't expect warmongering hate machine supporting god fearing anti-science republicans to understand its not about the troops its the about the war.. oops too much truth.. um.. I'll get Osama before my term is up!
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -1/+10Hah...
I find it too ironic that you can't be civilized about things... How mature. Why are you on here anyways? Lost your crayons? - robEstyles, on 07/10/2008, -2/+11please tell me your joking and arent one of the idiots that actually thinks he's Muslim. Although your right on the black thing.
- pixelguru, on 07/10/2008, -2/+11I'd actually like to believe that Bush's whole idiocy is just an act which is part of some grand evil master plan... the thought that our nation's leader could *actually be as unbelievably stupid as he appears* is just too terrifying for me to continue to be able to function.
- ipaholic, on 07/10/2008, -1/+9The goalpost keeps moving for what exactly 'victory' is.
First it was toppling the regime. Then it was capturing Saddam. Then his sons, etc.
Now it's 'stability', which supposedly disintegrates once we leave anyway.
It's too damn expensive to keep playing these games. The treasury is shelling out 20 billion a month on this thing, and we're selling the country piece by piece to the Chinese to flip the bill.
All so some phantoms about honor and victory can be chased around the desert. C'mon. - jimlamb, on 07/10/2008, -1/+9Look closer - they're all going up.
- rearlgrant, on 07/10/2008, -2/+10Everything is true except that last sentence - The Republican party wants Osama free -- good for fundrasing and keeping people in line.
- RogueGenius, on 07/10/2008, -1/+9Is that a joke? Or are you just the stupidest person ever?
No, seriously. Answer that question. Who the ***** are 'muslim extremists,' and if that is who we are fighting, why are we in secular Iraq?
Apologies if that was a joke. - freqk, on 07/11/2008, -1/+8DO A BARREL ROLL!
- bhamster, on 07/10/2008, -2/+9Or until the 4th tour of duty and the soldiers decide this schmuck has no idea what is going on.
- bjornski, on 07/10/2008, -0/+7Actually, yes.
- TheSenator624, on 07/10/2008, -0/+7@majordannyboy He's talking about James Buchanan, you rambling idiot.
- str1fe, on 07/10/2008, -1/+8I hate both, but I'm pretty confident I hate bush more.
- sap959, on 07/10/2008, -1/+7''going up the stairs, and going down the stairs, and going up the sideways stairs''
