- rozzlapeed, on 06/26/2008, -1/+2Capital punishment is an irrevocable infringement on a person's life, liberty, and property. Even in cases of multiple homicide, the justifications for giving that kind of power to a state or federal government are already tenuous. In criminal litigation, mistakes are often made in collecting and weighing evidence, which sometimes lead to wrongful convictions and unfair sentences. To even suggest that the death penalty is appropriate in cases that do not involve one or more dead victims displays either a naive trust in the fairness of our bureaucracies, or a misplaced desire for revenge.
Buried for its author's complete misunderstanding of American ideals and natural human rights. - Bushwack1, on 06/26/2008, -1/+2Rozz, In case you missed it, The DNA/Witness part? if there is PROOF positive, confession/DNA/Witnesses what ever YEAH Fry the prick. and in case you didn't get the other part, this author couldn't give a rats ass for your faux intellectual mundane verbosity. The fact is a kid is raped, the rapist does not face the DP because of a liberal leaning judiciary and folks like you keep sending them there thinking progress. I only hope that you do not have to experience any of their "Findings" from the inside out...
