- inactive, on 05/12/2009, -2/+10In other news the corporate media steps up their efforts to highlight terrorist activities in the hope of forestalling any attempts at diplomacy. The corporate media is concerned that a resultant drop off in missile sales may ultimately lead to pay cuts for those who don't sell war fervently enough.

I don't know if you noticed, but while our troops fought the war, our politicians failed to follow through and build a stable Iraqi Government.
I know the violence sucked, but somewhere in it all, everyone forgot that the whole point was building a working Iraqi Government that would take care of its people. Instead we let Iraqi money men and power mongers take as big of a chunk of the government as they could, the Shia being the real winners, with the Kurds in a close second. I know this will sound bad, but the Iraqis had already proven they themselves couldn't make a working government, what did our leaders think would happen when we let the Iraqis do it again? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is stupidity... We should have laid down a base framework to protect them all, and forced them to abide by it. Instead Maliki framed their Constitution as he wanted and has basically used the Security forces for his own agenda as leader of the Dawa, instead of Prime Minister. They even call the Security forces Malikis Militia... Just an fyi, during his time in exile while working with Dawa guerrillas, he spent a long time in Iran and Syria, and has very close ties to Hezbollah.
We got rid of Saddam for ties about the same as those Maliki has with the terrorists of Hezbollah. Whats funny, is that while I listen to all the ***** screaming and whining about the Iraq war, people constantly miss this vital fact. We failed utterly to build a working government, and have instead put in power people who have the same agenda, though i doubt they will be so foolhardy as to start wars like Saddam.
That in my opinion is the greatest failure of the Iraq War. Once the decision to go to war was made, they should have damned well made it worth it. - rhabdomancer, on 05/12/2009, -2/+5Iraq is going to have to get its act together. We are leaving soon.
- atomheartmother, on 05/13/2009, -2/+5But he's making up for it by bowing to the ACLU and releasing pictures that are sure to inflame the Islamic world and get even more Americans killed.
- AgeofMastery, on 05/12/2009, -2/+5I'll have to remember how it feels because there's no truth in your post.
- sultanknish, on 05/13/2009, -4/+5Sure
Show terrorist states weakness and shockingly enough they begin pushing terrorism. Obama announcing that he's going to take the military option off the table is an open door for terrorists. - BohicaTwentyTwo, on 05/12/2009, -9/+10I'm sure a proportonate application of smart power will fix this.
/sarc - StigNordas, on 05/13/2009, -1/+2I'm so tired of hearing about combatants using Islam as an excuse to fight their wars. Islam has been abused by these pricks for far too long now.
- HamstaMan, on 05/12/2009, -1/+1How about calling it "Massmurder with the intent to get a point across"
- superkendall, on 05/12/2009, -7/+7So you're bragging that Obama has no control over Syria when Bush seemed to, and that terrorists think the current president makes it OK to attack iraq again?
Huh. - poidh, on 05/13/2009, -2/+1Oooooooops, it seems like showing weakness to the enemy *doesn't* embolden them to commit more terrorist acts. Only on Digg......
- downneck, on 05/12/2009, -3/+2only relevant comment in this thrad.

- FarEastKilla, on 05/12/2009, -6/+3Blame BHO and/or GWB time starts now... go!
- couldbewrong, on 05/12/2009, -5/+2I was not sympathetic to hear of your terrorist traffic problems in Syria. Who are you to complain anyway? "Waaah waaah... I can't get to my suicide bombing on time. I'm late to destroy the market because of congestion on the freeway." I bet you are so mad that you could just kill yourself. Well, please do, but in the privacy of your own reinforced steel barrel. And now you are asking for terrorist-only HOV lanes in Syria? Well good luck getting anyone to sign up for that outside the grocery store. I bet you regret bombing those train stations now.
- jjamminjon, on 05/12/2009, -11/+5Terrorism?
Obama told me it is to be titled a "Man-Caused Disaster". - inactive, on 05/12/2009, -10/+3Obama outlawed "terrorists". They are now to be known as "displaced friends".
When you libs hit the down thumb, remember how it hurts to read the truth and try your best to make better future decisions... - poidh, on 05/12/2009, -14/+4What a coincidence. The US and Europeans have just started to "embrace" the Syrian government again. You don't think that the Syrians might see this as some sort of weakness do you?
- inactive, on 05/12/2009, -18/+4There's no such thing as "Terrorists". Obama tells me so...
- Dellortnibevu, on 05/12/2009, -18/+3JUST BOMB THEM AND THE TERRORISTS WILL GO AWAY ITS WORKING SO FAR KEEP IT UP TROOPERS!
